• GOV ENO ASSURES EQUITABLE DISBURSEMENT OF BUSINESS GRANT TO WIDOWS OF FALLEN HEROES

In further demonstration of deep concern for the welfare of widows of Nigeria's fallen heroes, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has outlined modalities of ensuring equitable administration and disbursement of the N250 million business grant he awarded them to mark the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

The Governor spelled out the disbursement criteria while speaking during the January edition of the Akwa Ibom State Government House Monthly Prayer Service, held at the Later House Chapel, Governor's Lodge, Uyo, Saturday, January 18, 2025, where he also outlined modalities for the proposed town hall meetings across the 10 Federal Constituencies of the State.

Describing the circumstances of his life as the mould that has shaped his governance disposition, Governor Eno urged Akwa Ibom people to thank God for the new year and expect the multiplied grace of God in the new season.

He stressed that his administration is committed to discontinuing the trend of release of government financial support to vulnerable citizens without commensurate socioeconomic effect on the targeted beneficiaries.

The Governor therefore directed the Ministries of Women Affairs and that of Humanitarian Affairs to commence the compilation of data of the widows of service men, to ensure a judicious disbursement process, and utilisation of the fund, towards ensuring optimal attainment of its purpose.

On the planned town hall meeting and empowerment in all the Federal Constituencies in the first quarter of 2025, Governor Eno tasked leaders and stakeholders of each Federal Constituency to, prior to the meetings, come up with a unified presentation that will represent the position and needs of their constituencies.

He further said that only those whose businesses are located within a local government area will be qualified for the special LGA - focused business grants.

Pastor Eno also called on pastors to continually pray for the good of the State and the government, and eschew tendencies that could dent the body of Christ.

The General Overseer of Christian Fellowship Evangelical Church, Reverend Emem Jacob, delivering a homily on the theme, "Dimensions of Grace," culled from 2 Peter 1:2, charged Christians to, while manifesting the various dimensions of God's grace, deliberately ensure that the grace does not end with them, but make a mark on their environments and generations after them.

  • Don't call her your woman until you officially marry her...

    Men
    My neighbor begged me to lend him 10k to give his girlfriend to fix her phone. I asked him;

" why don't you tell your girlfriend that you are broke and can't afford 10k at the moment?"

He replied that he don't want her to be angry and dump him

His answer was too funny to me, after laughing out loud , I simply told him that I don't have 10k to give him.

He left with annoyance and I could see disappointments written on his face.

    When he left, I pondered on this and asked some rhetorical questions;

Let's assume that my girlfriend is broke and couldn't fix her phone, then I couldn't help her fix it because I am also broke.

Why would she be angry with me for being broke when she is also broke ?

Why should my own brokenness give her serious concern when she should concentrate on solving hers?

Is she indirectly blaming me for being the cause of her brokenness simply because I am her boyfriend?

If she can't endure with me in my temporal brokenness, how will she be able to face marital challenges with me in the future?

Being broke doesn't automatically make you a poor man. There is nothing wrong with you for being broke even billionaires experience brokenness once in a while .

It is not something you should be ashamed of. The reasons you ventured into a committed relationship are; to check your compatibilities, to test her loyalty and sincerity and to make her know your dons and don'ts Her characters will determine where to place her; whether she belongs to the streets or to be domesticated.

Yes, we are meant to help ourselves but not to your own detriments.

At this stage, she is not yet your responsibility. Whatever you are doing for her is a PRIVILEGE not her RIGHT .

Any woman whom you have not officially married, is not your woman. Don't call her your woman until you pay her bride price because she still have right to flirt with other men without breaking any law.

Don't allow her problems to cause you headache when you have yours.

. Assist her if you can but don't put yourself into debts to impress her

Money can't keep her, . Your sacrifices are nothing to her, women are loyal to their feelings and their feelings are unstable

Stop running helter skelter to help her, she will still dump you without having a second thought.
    Be wise
    Don't looseguard.

  • I'm in a pickle In a crossroads.
I'm in a pickle, In a crossroads , contemplating about how difficult and simple life could be. This inequality in our ecosystem and this affluence creates unimaginable thoughts for those who dare to reason critically. After reasoning, many questions are to be asked.
The luxurious lifestyle of the opulents, warrants God to come and explain why there's excessive economic inequality in our society. Those in affluence are few; yet they live the lifestyle that is supposed to be enjoyed by billions of people in a thousand years.
Men throw away millions in a night; often indulging in fleeting pleasures. They tarry because of women. They drink at expensive bars. They continue to oppress the wretched. Even those who decide to engage in charity, do so just because of the cameras.
If only the millions spent on drinks and nightlife could be channeled to human capacity development, Our society would resemble the the utopian ideal we often envision .
I'm not against anything. I'm not against those who engage in it. Infact, God didn't create individuals to be the same. Even in Heaven...

  • ECONOMICS ADVICE:

    1. Put your kids in
    schools you can afford
    because expensive
    schools don't
    guarantee good
    results. Just ensure
    they attend a good
    affordable school

    2. Rent apartments you
    can pay for
    conveniently. Don’t live
    in a house you struggle
    to pay yearly.

    3. Let’s plan our lives and
    live within our means.
    Save more and spend
    less.

    4. Some women buy food
    for their children every
    morning before going
    to school or even for
    the whole family, do
    you know it’s cheaper
    to cook at home?

    5. Some people don’t
    earn much, but have
    DSTV at home, go for
    GOTV and upgrade
    when your income
    upgrades. It’s still the
    same CNN anyway!

    6. Eat healthy meals and
    protect your family
    from mosquitoes to
    avoid going to the
    hospital always.

    7. Take advantage of
    food and fruits in
    season, its cheaper
    and you can be
    creative to create
    amazing meals.

    8.Don’t copy your
    neighbor’s lifestyle,
    she earns well and her
    husband is a ‘big
    man’

    9. Don’t follow trends,
    wear clean well-
    ironed clothes and
    keep your hair neat.
    You would still look
    good.

    10. KEEP YOUR CIRCLE
    SMALL, KEEP ONLY
    FRIENDS THAT HAVE
    SENSES!

    11. Above all things, have
    the fear of God, have
    integrity, don’t be lazy
    and be prayerful.

    12. Planning is the key, if
    you fail to plan, your
    planning to FAIL.

    13. Don't do more than
    your budget this
    Time, there is no
    award given to best
    family that wore an
    expensive cloth for
    the year

    14.Don't be in
    competition with
    anyone...
    The purpose of shoes
    and clothes are to
    make us smart and
    good.

    15. Skills make you valuable, money is a reward for the value you bring.

    16. A skilled person is never out of opportunities, no matter how tight the economy.

  • When a man is gentle, soft,
    and consistently respects you,
that's when your nervous system starts healing.

That's why some women have that special glow when they're being loved right in a relationship.
It's not the love itself, it's the emotional safety.
