We are mourning Senator Ifeanyi Mbah, he was huge in the business world, personally i came across him in 2008, when he invited me as a Governor to Apapa to visit his business complex and I was amazed at what a young man could do at that time, over 48 pumps with so many fuel tanks, he contributed a lot. Ofcourse, the former president has mentioned transformation ambassadors of Nigeria, he took the country by storm. When he entered into politics, a lot of people in Anambra were shaking, they were very scared of Senator Ifeanyi Mbah

Twice I've sent money to this girl to visit me and she didn't show up.
The first time was in 2023.
I met her here on Facebook. She was quite lovely and went by the name Ogadi Uka.
I approached her and made clear to her that the reason why I texted her was because I liked her. After several months of flirting and late-night chatting, I requested that she visit me and she agreed.
The problem was that she lived in Lagos, and I Aba.
I agreed to fund her transport bills from Lagos to Aba and back. It summed up to 40K then. She was to stay with me for three days.
The day she was supposed to come to my house, her number was suddenly not going. It was switched off. I texted her on Facebook, on WhatsApp, left voice notes and all for her and all were left unreplied to.
Three days later, she called me and told me that she fainted that morning and her neighbours had to rush her to a nearby clinic where treatments were administered to her. She showed me a picture of her on a drip.
I told her it was okay, that she should not bother coming anymore and should instead use that money to buy drugs. She thanked me profusely and called me a good man.
I texted and called her throughout that week to know the state of her health, and even sent more money to her to buy fruits and juice.
Five months later, I asked her to visit me again and she agreed. I sent her 50K for transport.
That day, I waited and waited and waited but she didn't show up. Her line was inactive. Her Facebook account was suddenly deactivated.
I was mād. I was flabbergastēd. I wanted to cry.
Two days later, she called me and told me that she was sorry, that her mom dièd that morning so she couldn't come. She told me that she was still grieving, so I should understand.
I told her that I thought she was an orphan. I even showed her a screenshot of our text where she mentioned she was an orphan.
She told me Oh, Ah, that she wasn't talking about her real mother. That she was talking about her Aunty. That her Aunty was the one that diēd and she was like a mother to her because she trained her and her siblings.
She told me that she couldn't visit me because she used the money I sent to her to sort out her mom's (Aunty's) mortuāry things.
She said sorry and I accepted with an okay.
Two months later—early this year—I asked her to visit me but told her that I had relocated to Abuja ooo. I showed her pictures of my new house, a very modern apartment with AC, a flat TV, huge couches, and a sleek interior. I even showed her the new car the company I run social media pages for gifted me, and she congratulated me.
I asked her if she could come from Lagos to Abuja, and that if she couldn't, I'd understand. She said she can. But she told me she didn't have money for the bus fare, that ten kobo no dey her account.
I sent her 20K for her bus fare. I told her I would give her money for the bus home on the day she would leave my place.
That day, I kept calling her. She told me when she booked a bus, when she entered it, when they left the park, and when she reached Abuja, by 2 in the afternoon.
Immediately she reached the park in Abuja, I called her and told her to take a bike to Gwarinpa and that once she reached there, she should give the bikeman the phone so I would give him directions to my house.
After I ended the call with her, I switched off my phone.
By the time I switched on my phone by 5 in the evening, streams of texts pinged into my Facebook. 46 messages I had received from her. I called her and as soon as she picked up, she started shouting at me. She said she was stranded on the road and had been calling me, that I knew she didn't have any money on her, not even her in her bank account, that she didn't like this, that I should quickly pick her up from the junction.
I told me that I was sorry, and then I told her to flag down a bikeman so I would give him directions to my house.
Immediately she hailed a bike and gave the man the phone, I asked the man to tell her to go home, that I didn't even know where Gwarinpa was in Abuja because I still live in Aba full full. I told him to tell her that however she manages to find her way home—that is if she finds her way home—I don't care.
Then I switched off my phone again

A'IBOM GOVT TO ENACT LAW AGAINST INDESCRIMANTE WASTE DISPOSAL

...launches waste management equipment

Akwa Ibom State Governor has announced plans to issue an Executive Order providing legal backing for the prosecution of anyone caught in the act of indiscriminate waste disposal in the state.

The State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, announced this at the official launch of newly-acquired equipment for the Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency (AKSEPWMA) in Itu LGA.

Unveiling the waste management equipment, the Governor frowned at the practice of indiscriminate waste disposal experienced in some parts of the state, noting that Akwa Ibom people are known for their cleanliness and it must remain so.

He called for concerted effort in ensuring a clean state and charged local government councils to align with the Agency in the discharge of their duties, saying that awards will be given to the cleanest LGA by May 29, 2025.

Speaking on the 2024 Christmas unplugged, the Governor observed that intelligence report has indicted people involved in illegal sale of kiosks at prices above the N100,000 pegged by the state government at the soon -to -be-opened Christmas village, and warned those involved in the sharp practices to refrain from it as law enforcement agents have been alerted on their mission.

"I have credible intelligence that some people went and bought some shops at the Christmas village and are now re-selling for as much as N300,000.

“If anybody tells you to pay N300,000, please report the person immediately.
Anybody who sells a shop to you, just take the shop, pay the person N100,000, if he asks you for any balance tell them to meet Umo Eno.”

Governor Eno announced the prohibition of masquerades and other weird displays at the Christmas village, directing the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Sir Charles Udoh to enforce the order.

He assured the people of uninterrupted job execution at various project sites and urged the youths to embrace the trend by availing themselves of various jobs that will be executed during and after the festivities season.

Earlier, the Chairman of Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency, Prince Ikim commended the vision of the governor in maintaining a clean state through the purchase of the equipment, and pledged his commitment to driving the vision of the Governorto fruition.

In a goodwill message, the Chairman of Itu Local Government Area, Mr. Ubong Nkut thanked the Governor for bringing development to the area and mentioned the flag off of the Nnung Ukot Itam - Ikot Ekwere Road projects as testaments to his promise kept in the area, assuring the Governor of the support of the people beyond his first tenure.

The National Coordinator, Clean Up Nigeria Limited, Mr Ene Baba-Owo, commended the vision of the Governor in maintaining a clean environment and urged the agency not to relent in driving the vision of the Governor.

On her part, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources, Mrs Ikwo Abia, appreciated the Governor for the lofty programmes of his administration especially as it concerns the environment.

The new equipment purchased included: 5 units of waste compacting trucks, 4 units of waste swing arm trucks, 1 unit of pull-up waste truck with crane mechanism, 50 units 6,000 litres dumpsters and 6 units of 12, 000 litres dumpsters.

7 Rules For Baking The Perfect Cake (And What To Do When You Mess Up)

1. Always grease the pan and line it with parchment

It’s insurance that your cake will slide out cleanly after cooling.

2. Allow the oven to fully preheat first

The cakes need to bake at the right temperature, with no shortcuts.

3. Bake in the center of the oven (unless otherwise specified)

If it doesn’t specify otherwise, that’s how the recipe was designed. Changes will alter your results.

4. Bake in the size of the pan specified

Otherwise, you’re looking at uneven baking, which means an uneven cake.

5. Your cake broke when you turned it out of the pan

A cake has gone through a lot over the last 30 minutes, not to mention turning from a liquid to a solid! It needs a minute or two to gain its composure once removed from the oven.

Solution: Line the bottoms of your pan with parchment paper.
Cakes should rest in their pans on a rack for 15 minutes after coming out of the oven. By lining the bottom of the pan with parchment, you give yourself some added insurance that the cake will slide out after cooling. (Running a sharp knife between the inside of the pan and the cake is a good idea, too.)

6. Your icing is full of crumbs
Crumbs are the cake decorator’s nemesis! They’re inevitable if you build a layer cake and have to split the layers, but there is a fix to minimize these irritating little morsels.

Seven (7) poultry rules for your farm:

Do you have passion for poultry and really wish to stay long in the business? Then, obey these rules!

A.Rule (1)

..."Only order for birds you can conveniently take care of".
This is the most important rule of all.

Instead of stocking 500 birds and then struggle to feed them or give them medication, buy 200 ,feed and give them good medication.

Trust me, you'll make more profit than keeping 500 and struggling to feed and give the medication. If this happens, you'll battle with stunted growth, recurrent morbidity or disease outbreaks and high mortality.

B.Rule (2)

..."Never borrow money to start poultry business unless you are an expert".

Of course, there is no expert in poultry business. In fact, we learn everyday. Every stock you take in will always teach you something different. However, Haven learnt from all the different characteristics displayed by each stock, you get to know more and won't be excited when challenges come. You'll know how to handle them without much damage.

C.Rule (3)

..."Be vigilant".
The little things you don't take as anything matters.

If you want to succeed in poultry, you must take it as a real business. Do you know what a business man does every morning when he gets to his store? He pray, then open the store and go round to check if everything is in its place. He take stocks of what he met there and relate with his records yesterday before closing the store.

Don't just open your Pen and start rushing to give your birds feed and water and rush out again. Check around. Watch how they behave when you came in. Check what fell and what is no longer in its place.

D.Rule (4)

..."Never ignore warning signals".

Yes, I call them warning signals.

1.Bad smell
2.Withdrawal from feed
3.Moodiness
4.Withdrawal from water

There are numerous warning signals i can't mention here. In fact, they are so many
