  • Grammy what you people are doing is not right .

Just imagine after awarding Tyla last year for shaking her AS while singing make me sweat and giving her the pretence that she's a star and motivated her to work harder y'all snobbed her .
Ayra Starr's who's the queen of afrobeats and currently having back pain for carrying all the load of afrobeats on her in 2024 y'all still snobbed her .

What baffled me the most is portable , The okia of Africa and also baboon that lives in the Zoo didn't secured a nomination let alone setting he's feet on the soil the award ceremony will be held tonight ,

Grammy award and it's executive y'all have disrespected most especially the okia of Africa so we're rejecting the categories other Artists we're nominated for.

This one pain me , a whole portable of all people go dey shine this night dey watch Grammy instead of seating in the front roll thrown as king wa e be.

  • Nigerian singer Tems saw off the likes of Yemi Alade, Burna Boy and Wizkid to take home the Best African Music Performance Grammy for her hit Love Me Jeje.

In an emotional acceptance speech on Sunday evening, she said her "heart was beating so fast".

It is only the second year since the category's introduction, a move that was widely welcomed as a recognition of the impact of African artists on the global music scene.

However, there was some controversy this year as US R&B star Chris Brown was one of the nominees - for his song Sensational, which incorporates Afrobeats elements and features guest vocals from Nigerian artists Davido and Lojay.

Tems was out of breath as she took to the stage after her name was read out at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

"I do work out but it's not showing up right now," she joked as she patted her heart to the amusement of the audience.

The 29-year-old also praised her mother.

“Wow, dear God thank you so much for putting me on this stage and bringing this team, and tomorrow is my mum’s birthday and this is her first Grammys.

“I just want to thank you mum," she said gesturing towards her, "because she has done a lot for me and my brother.”

Love Me Jeje, which samples a line from Seyi Sodimu's 1997 Nigerian classic of the same name, has racked up 125 million listens on Spotify and 21 million views on YouTube.

With Sunday's prize, Tems has become the first Nigerian to have two Grammys to her name after winning the Best Melodic Rap Performance in 2023 for featuring on Future's hit Wait For U.

  • “Being Snubbed By Mike Obi Was The Saddest Moment Of My Career”– 2Baba Reveals The Story Behind His Viral Hist Song, ‘Only Me’ | #MukTV

"At a time when everyone was making sure that all hands were on deck to move the Nigerian brand into the world stage, destiny brought me into the winning stage with my brother Mikel Obi, who was also winning from the football angle.

“At that time, he was at the centre of Argument for two great clubs Manchester United and Chelsea, he was getting all the love from football lovers and I was getting all the love from musical lovers for putting Afrobeats on the world map at that time.

“We were two kings coexisting in our different worlds, doing our thing and just living.

“Somehow, I found Mikel in a shopping mall in U.K when I visited to buy things for myself and Ani, you know the superstar lifestyle.
I spotted my brother Mikel, walked up to him with open arms to embrace him because it's the first time I am crossing parts with him even if I have seen all his doings on T.V.

“To my greatest surprise, Mikel just ignored and acted like he doesn't know 2Baba.

“I was very sad and tried to understand why he treated me that way, I tried to ask if I have ever said anything wrong about him, he never apologized about it even when Linda Ikeji and some popular blogs told the world how I was ignored by Mikel.

“I went into the studio to pour out my heart in the song "ONLY ME"

“I know say no be everybody Sabi play ball, but arise o compatriots if Nigeria call."
