  • The most delicious soups are made by combining different ingredients

Eating the same food every day can get boring. Reading the same book over and over again can become a chore, no matter how well written. And sometimes we should make an effort to welcome people into our friendship circle who may not share our views. Difference is enriching - whether that is in cuisine or in life.

    2. Never talk bad about the food when you are the guest.

    3. Don't eat the last piece of something you didn't buy.

    4. Protect who is behind you and respect who is beside you.

    5. Never make the first offer in a negotiation.

    6. Don't take credit for the work you didn't do.

  • THIS IS SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU

    Find out what...

So I had some oranges for the night but, before I could enjoyed it, I needed to peel of the bark completely to get to the juicy part.

It was stressful and I was beginning to lose interest but the thought of the sweet juices kept me going.

I could easily had cut the oranges in to two to suck out the juice or peel them roughly and that would have affected the taste.

This is the case with most of us. We want something but do not want to work for it or we get tired too quickly while working for it.

From the moment I realized that nothing good comes easy, I had a mindset shift.

There is commensurate amount of efforts required from you to perfect what God has already done.

To harvest bountifully, you have to plant some seeds for God to send rain on, make the whether favorable to and cause the rapid and sustained multiplication of the seeds.

To be found as a woman, you have to be somewhere, doing whatsoever. As a man too, to find a wife, you will be going about for a thing and then boom, she appears.

To eat food, you must first cook by assembling the ingredients and putting them together one after the other.

There is a Price to pay for the glory. Imagine, for our Salvation, Jesus needed to come and die.

I am taking this time to cite all of these scenarios so you can understand this properly. To be gainfully employed, you need to prepare a CV, you need to apply to organisations and wait for call ups.

To be healed, you will need to pray to God or go to the hospital and follow through with taking you medications.

The grace of God that is available to us does not stop or invalidate work. Also, you cannot love God alone by saying it, you must demonstrate it by working.

Beloved, you can become anything you desire if you do your part well. There is always something you can do to get what you want.

You might not get it right at once, However, little and consistent efforts over time yield greatly. Do not give up now.

Do what you can by giving your best always and leave the rest. GOD IS FAITHFUL. He will not abandon you. He is a rewarder of diligence.

I hope this encourages you today?

  • Healthy Fats for a Stronger Body

Not all fats are bad! Healthy fats from sources like avocados, nuts, and olive oil support brain function, heart health, and glowing skin. Unlike trans fats in junk food, these good fats reduce inflammation and provide long-lasting energy. Add healthy fats to your diet for a well-rounded approach to nutrition and overall wellness.

  • Hydration and Healthy Eating

Water plays a crucial role in digestion, metabolism, and overall health. Pairing healthy meals with proper hydration enhances nutrient absorption and keeps you feeling full longer. Foods like cucumbers, oranges, and watermelon provide both nutrients and hydration. Make it a habit to drink enough water daily for a healthier, more balanced diet.

  • The Power of Eating Fresh

Fresh foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains provide essential nutrients that keep your body strong and energized. Unlike processed foods, fresh ingredients retain their vitamins and minerals, supporting better digestion and immune function. Making small changes, like choosing a salad over fast food, can have long-term benefits. Prioritize fresh foods in your diet, and your body will thank you!

  • “Eating healthy is expensive”
“I don’t have time to cook”

STOP PLAYING CHESS WITH YOUR HEALTH

Here are some cooking ideas to help you create quick healthy recipes.

You can try on a go.

The foods listed will help you:

    -Prevent unnecessary weight gain

    -Boost your mood

    -Revive your energy

And make you feel good again.

The key to healthy eating should not emphasize on “balance diet” in other words balance diet is an old paradigm that should be discarded for good.

Because, “balanced diet” modeled around eating more carbs, less protein and fats.

This is not a sustainable way to eat especially if you are seeking to lose or maintain weight and also optimize your micronutrients intake.

So the most nutrient dense food should be your priority.

They are(in order of nutrient density/availability):

    1. Meats:beef, chicken, goat meat, ponmo, turkey, rabbit, pork, wild game etc.

    2. Eggs(Any edible eggs available).

    3. Offals; Liver, hearts, intestines, and lungs of ruminants

    4. Seafoods: All edible fish in the order of nutrient density fresh fish>smoked fish>dry fish. Limit frying of fish; shrimp, prawns, crabs, oysters, sea snails, calamari etc.

    5. Seasonal fruits: mango, African star apple(udara), Avocado, among other seasonal fruits.

    6. Non starchy vegetables: Local vegetables; cucumber, garden eggs, tomatoes, green peas, green beans, bell peppers carrots, etc. Leafy greens; pumpkin leaf, garden egg leaf, spinach etc. Exotic vegetables; cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and Kale.

    7. Starchy vegetables: Grains; rice. Tuber; yam, potatoes, coco yam. Legumes; Beans, lentils.

This category is where you should practice moderation and must be paired with any of the above categories.

It’s very important not to forget the healthy fats category.

Choose from: olive oil, coconut oil, beef tallow, Avocado oil(most in Nigerian markets are fake) lard, ghee, butter and pure palm oil.

    My Favorite quick combos.

    1. Yam and egg sauce

    2. 4-5 boiled eggs with mix vegetable sauce.

    3. 4 Egged omelette with mixed vegetables sautéed in olive oil on side.

    4. Any of yam or plantain porridge with smoked fish.

    5. Boiled Beef and Salt.

You can also try rice with plenty of leafy greens and boiled eggs.

Beans cooked with plenty crayfish and smoked fish.

Any swallow of choice except semo and wheat(portion controlled) with plenty protein rich soups.

    Thanks for reading.
