THE HIGH COST OF A FEW MINUTES OF PLEASURE Why Sexual Discipline Is a Must for Every Man Some men have destroyed their entire future for just a few minutes in bed. Some have lost their money, health, focus, and even their lives—just because they couldn’t control their urges. Lust is expensive—but many don’t realize the price until it’s too late. If you think a little “fun” can’t ruin you, let me remind you: Samson lost his strength to Delilah. David risked his kingdom for Bathsheba. Many great men have been reduced to nothing—all because of a few minutes of pleasure. Oga, wake up before you become the next victim. WHAT SEXUAL INDULGENCE WILL COST YOU 1. YOUR MONEY Sex is not cheap—especially in today’s world. One "babe" says, “I need urgent 2K.” You send it. Another one says, “I need my hair done.” You pay. Another one says, “My rent is due.” You cover it. Before you know it, your bank account is dry—but guess what? The same women will leave you for the next man with more money. Ask yourself: How many successful men waste money on women before building themselves? How many rich men spend recklessly on pleasure without making sure their empire is secured? If money is power, why would you drain yourself just to impress someone who will forget you tomorrow? Solution: Secure your finances before you secure a woman. 2. YOUR HEALTH Casual sex comes with consequences. STDs don’t care if you were just “having fun.” Unwanted pregnancies don’t care if you were “not ready.” Stress, anxiety, and emotional drama come as part of the package. Many men have ruined their health chasing after pleasure. From infections to lifelong regrets, the body always pays the price. Solution: Control your body before it destroys you. 3. YOUR FOCUS & DISCIPLINE Every time you chase pleasure, you waste: Time you could use to build yourself. Energy you could use to achieve success. Discipline that makes you strong as a man. Oga, the men at the top didn’t get there by chasing women all day. They built themselves first—then women came as a result. But many of you? You are busy DMing women instead of learning skills. You are on dating apps instead of reading books. You are watching porn instead of working on your goals. And then you wonder why life is hard. Solution: Master your discipline, and success will follow. 4. YOUR REPUTATION Men don’t respect weak men. And nothing weakens a man more than being controlled by lust. If you’re chasing every woman in town, people talk. If you’re sleeping around recklessly, people notice. If you’re addicted to sex and pleasure, people lose respect for you. You may think nobody knows—but the streets are always watching. And when real opportunities come, your bad reputation will close doors in your face. Solution: Build a name that commands respect, not mockery. 5. YOUR DESTINY History is full of men who had great potential but lost everything to women, sex, and pleasure. Politicians destroyed by scandals. Businessmen ruined by side chicks. Athletes and celebrities who lost their wealth because they couldn’t control themselves. For what? A few minutes of pleasure? One bad decision can cost you your entire future. Solution: Think long-term. Don’t let short-term pleasure destroy your lifetime success. BOTTOM LINE: DISCIPLINE OR DESTRUCTION? Sex isn’t bad—but lack of control will destroy you. A moment of pleasure can cost you years of regret. An undisciplined man will always be a slave to his desires. If you can’t control your lust, someone else will control you through it. The greatest men in history were masters of their discipline—not slaves to their desires. So choose wisely: Will you be strong enough to build your future? Or will you waste it all for a few minutes of pleasure? The choice is yours.

CSR: GOV ENO APPLAUDS AMITEC OVER 10 WATER PROJECTS IN ORUK ANAM, 50,000 EXERCISE BOOKS …calls on other contractors, companies to emulate same Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has commended Amitec Construction and Development limited for initiating a corporate Social responsibility project mainly targeted at rural development, youth empowerment and educational advancement. The Governor made the commendations on Saturday, while inaugurating the 23km Ikot Ekaide- Ikot Okoro- Ikot Ibritam road handled by the construction giants. “Let me thank the MD of Amitec for taking the lead in sponsoring 5 Trainees to the Dakkada skills acquisition center and donating 10 water projects to communities in Oruk Anam as well as 50,000 copies of branded exercise books to the ministry of education. “Earlier today, I was at DASAC for the convocation of pioneer Trainees of that institution where I called on contractors to support by sponsoring trainees for the next batch. I am very happy that our brother in Amitec has taken the lead. “This of the kind of thing we want to see. So, I am calling on other contractors to also sponsor students to the skills training institute. When they finish, you give them starter-packs to start up something on their own” Gov Eno Stressed. He however, directed the commissioner for education to ensure that 25,000 copies of those exercise books are distributed to schools in Oruk Anam while the other 25,000 can be shared to other schools across the state. Speaking on the road project, Pastor Eno who was also full of praises to Amitec for quality delivery, expressed satisfaction that a project inherited from his predecessor at 50 percent has been completed. He promised to complete all other economically- viable inherited projects across the state while directing that solar street lights be fixed on the whole stretch of the 23km road. Speaking earlier, the Managing Director of Amitec, Chief Aiman Saimua who was grateful to Governor Eno for his developmental strides and passion for rural development, said the company’s donation was simply to complement the Government’s visible effort in making life better for the citizens. His speech reads in parts: “I feel honoured to have been chosen to handle this transformative project which represents a testimony that government in Akwa Ibom State is a continuum. “The entire stretch of this road traverses 15 villages, out of which 10 of those villages belong to the 12.5km that was handled by Amitec. “Therefore, to complement the developmental strides of the state government, we will donate 10 water projects for the 10 villages within our section, donate 50,000 copies of branded exercise books to the education ministry and also sponsor initially, 5 persons to DASAC.

Yesterday, I flagged off the construction of two major road projects: the 10.9km Use Ikot Amama Road with two bridges in Ibiono Ibom and the 21.5km Ikot Anyan Ediene Road with a 60m span bridge in Ikono. These roads will improve connectivity, boost economic activities, and enhance transportation in our state. I have tasked Setraco Limited with delivering a high-quality project that meets the best standards. Road infrastructure is a key driver of development, and we remain committed to linking every part of Akwa Ibom with a solid road network. I appreciate the support of Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio and the people of Ibiono Ibom and Ikono for believing in our administration. Our investment in infrastructure and agribusiness is for the people, and we will continue to implement projects that improve lives. I also commend the youths for their cooperation with contractors and encourage them to protect public infrastructure for the benefit of all. Development must reach every community, and I assure you that we will extend street lighting projects beyond Uyo to brighten and secure more areas. Together, let’s build a greater Akwa Ibom! @

Once upon a time, a lady I followed on Twitter said, "If I get pregnant and it's a male fetus, I'll ab*rt it. I'll never willingly bring another man into this world." That day, I called myself for a meeting. You see, a few years prior, one of my stories unexpectedly blew up on Twitter. I literally went from 511 followers to 4,000+ in one day. This led to my being more active in that app. I followed certain accounts with whom I believed we shared the same interests in feminism, faith, politics, and writing. I engaged with their tweets as often as I could. However, I soon began to notice a change in me. I'd become a snarky, impatient, less objective, and angry person. I noticed this the most in matters of politics and feminism. Somehow, I'd gone from wanting and advocating for equity for women in a world that's largely unfair to us, to seeing almost nothing good in men. If I tweeted something about women and their suffering at the hands of men and a man countered my opinion, I'd become enraged. This went on for while. One day, after a particularly nasty exchange with a guy and seeing that tweet above, I called myself for a meeting and had an internal audit. Eketi, why are you angry? Why are you not liking men anymore? What did they say or do that's so bad, you're lashing out at all of them? Who is sponsoring your outrage? For feminism in particular, while I thought I shared a common interest with many of the feminist accounts I followed, I didn't know their motivations, why they were feminists. I thought we all wanted the same thing. A bit naïve of me, I know. What was clear though, was that many of them were mad at men. Hateful even. Some were misandrists of the worst kind. Others believed in intersecting feminism with other ideals. In constantly consuming their content, I'd absorbed their emotions, beliefs, and disposition towards men. I was becoming like them. I also realised there were cliques who were committed to driving and promoting certain narratives about men. I, was an outsider, part of the clueless, unreasoning mob who had no idea why we were protesting, but protesting nonetheless. Now, I don't know their experiences, what made them arrive at the belief that no man is worth liking or loving or being treated like a human being. I will not judge them for it - it could be nothing, it could also be something - (I mean, I'm still trying to get one of my mentees to see that all men aren't bad, after she was r@ped by her father and her brother). But I knew I couldn't continue in that direction. To nourish my mind with quietness, inspiration, growth, and positivity, and reflect that in my life, I immediately unfollowed many of those accounts and carefully curated my follow list from scratch. I muted the words 'politics' and 'feminism'. I unfollowed those who often make those quick disrespectful comebacks and call it savagery. My timeline went quiet. I followed people whose conversations uplifted, educated, and inspired me, and cultivated the habit of listening to opposing views without losing mine. I also followed the feminists who weren't just talking, but walking the walk. We joined our resources to rescue kids who are trafficked, take sex workers off the streets, send girls in underserved communities to school, etc. My anger disappeared, my objectivity returned. This brings me to the subject of the mind. The mind is an interesting thing, true. Whatever you feed it, it soaks up like a sponge everything. Our minds don’t discriminate between what’s “good” or “bad” for us—they simply absorb. And over time, the mind becomes what it absorbs. What we feed it through conversations we engage in, the people we surround ourselves with, and the content we consume, becomes the foundation of our thoughts, actions, and even the way we see ourselves. If you continuously feed your mind with negativity, anger, and doubt, it will echo those feelings back to you. So, I know this may seem like a clichéd question. Nevertheless, I’ll ask it. What have you fed your mind lately? Are you consuming a healthy mental diet or is it time for a change? It is not just about Feminism. In fact, Feminism was just used to emphasize many points. There are takeaways that apply to life generally.

My roommate and I were in this big wedding last Sunday. This big man was getting married to this big woman, so many of their big friends from all across the world came. It was a very lavish wedding. Money was being sprayed in dollars, and if naira was sprayed, it was the 1000 note. The more the couple danced, the more dollars were tossed into the sky. We were dressed in neatly ironed shirts, my roommate and I, and around our necks were colourful 'Ask Me' tags that indicated our roles. We went into the crowd, scooping up the money sprayed and stuffing it into these black nylon bags. There was so much money being sprayed. When our backs began to ache and we needed a rest, we told the ushers in charge of sharing food that we’d been working tirelessly under the sun and needed a break. They served us rice and fried chicken, and as soon as we stripped the meat off the bones, we got back into the field and resumed picking money. By the end of the day, we had filled two large carpenter bags with money. When no one was looking, we quickly slipped out of the area. I suppose someone eventually noticed that the two boys who had been picking money all day were missing and realized neither the bride's nor the groom's family had hired us. We were already halfway down the street, my roommate and I, holding the carpenter bags and the fake 'Ask Me' tags we had printed, when we heard voices behind us. "Hey, you two! Come back here! Bring back our money!" 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
