How to Effectively Reach a Busy Person via DM (Direct message)

When reaching out to a busy person, clarity and brevity are key. Even if the person isn't busy, this applies to any form of communication with someone you don't know hence it involve sliding into inbox. Follow these simple steps to ensure your message gets attention:
    1. Start with a Greeting
Begin politely but keep it brief.
    2. Introduce Yourself
    Provide a short, relevant introduction.
    3. State Your Purpose
Clearly outline why you are chatting them up and what you need.
    4. Conclude Gracefully
    End with a polite request.
All these four steps must be in just one message.

Avoid sending just a greeting (e.g., "Good morning") and waiting for a response before continuing. You may never get a reply... You will wait forever and no response. Many people are still waiting for response of messages they sent 3yrs ago.

Greeting alone is not a message. Accompany your greeting with the purpose of sliding into his/her inbox.

    Example:
“Good morning Sir. I am Chioma, a graphic designer. I wish to know if you would need my services at some point. You can check my wall to have a look at my designs.

This will determine if the person will reply your message or not.
Keep it short, clear, and professional.

If you like, run like the first guy (on the picture) and drop only "Good Morning My Handsome ... Most handsome Priest I know", you go wait taya, that last guy in yellow you see there wey carry last might get response before you when she follows the steps above. No be by who first enter inbox oooo... Na by who drop legit message.
