Almost everyone knows what a crab is and may have seen one before but, some of the capabilities and abilities of crabs, many do not know.

A crab have the ability to walk in all directions conveniently— front, back, and sideways.

Crabs are decapods, meaning they have 10 legs.

A Female crab can release 1000 to 2000 eggs at once. And their pregnancy lasting for only two weeks; some just one week.

The lifespan of a small crab like we have in Africa is 4 years, but the crabs in Japan can live as long as 100 years.

Just like lizard, and snakes, crabs do shed their skins.

When a Crab loses its leg by accident or have them cuts off; the leg will regrow again.

Once a female crab reach sexual maturity, they mate with a male just only once through out their lifetime. While the males mate with multiple females throughout their lifespan.

A male crab is called Jimmy and a female crab is called sally.
