Dear Christian, your Savior is the self-existent God of the universe. He has all life in Himself (John 1:4; 5:26).

The One to whom you are entrusting your soul for eternity depends on nothing outside of Himself to be what He is.

In fact, He is the One on whom all things depend: “In Him we live, and move, and have our being” (Acts 17:28).

He is the being in which everything else has its being. His existence is the ground of the existence of everything that exists. “In Him all things hold together” (Col 1:17).

He is “the fountain of life” (Ps 36:9). All life is grounded in Him, and He gives to all life, and breath, and all things (Acts 17:25).

Worship the Lord Jesus—the eternal Word—for His aseity, for His self-existence, for His being the fountain of life.
