  • God created you for a divine purpose. Before you were born, He knew you. And when we surrender to Him, He fulfills our deepest longings.

    Lakewood Church
The vision Lakewood Church is to make a positive impact upon the city of Houston by creating a city-wide family center in which all are welcome-a place where all individuals and families can grow and flourish in faith and discover God's plan for their lives. "I believe we can change the world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I am committed to the global mission of Lakewood Church. In order to accomplish this vision, however, we must recognize that it begins right here in Houston. For it is the investment in our own families and in our own neighborhoods that strengthen our local church, the very foundation upon which we launch our worldwide outreach." - Joel Osteen Subscribe now to the message of hope found in Jesus Christ: http://bit.ly/LakewoodYTSub We have LIVE streams Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 8:30am and 11:00am CST. New videos are posted each week. Check out our Community tab for more ways to interact.

  • You’re not supposed to fight every battle. Many of the things that come against us are simply distractions. Look straight ahead, stick to the path, and stay safe. Do not get sidetracked. There’s a calling on your life, you can still be who God created you to be.

  • Press past the doubt, the naysayers, the past, the failures, and believe for what seems impossible. Believe for your dreams, believe the dead bones can live, believe that you can accomplish what others say is out of reach, believe that your children will leave their mark. This won’t happen with average faith. The good news is that’s not you. I’m talking to people with great faith. Now, do your part and wake it up. You haven’t seen, heard, or imagined what God has in store for you.

  • God has already written your story. Yes, there will be ups and downs, challenges and victories. But there’s nothing you’ll come up against that He doesn’t already have a solution. He won’t let you get in a problem that He can’t bring you out of. The key is to not let that wrong story take root. In difficult times, when nothing is changing and it’s taking longer than you thought, it’s tempting to get discouraged, bitter, water down your dream. You have to keep telling yourself, “This is not permanent. It didn’t come to stay; it came to pass. I’m an overcomer. God always causes me to triumph. This is not going to stop me; victory is headed my way."

  • Many of us have so much more inside, but we’re stuck in an old version of who we are. I didn’t know this ability was in me, to get up and speak in front of people. I was stuck in who I used to be, behind the scenes doing the production. That version was fine for the time, but it wasn’t the final version. There are new versions of you coming that are stronger, wiser, more successful, and with greater favor. You don’t see it all at once. It happens in stages. If you’ll stay open, you’ll discover a greater version of you. My challenge: don’t get stuck in who you used to be, letting limitations from the past, how you were raised, what someone said, keep you from stepping up to who you really are. This is a new day. I’m calling out the mighty hero, the barrier breaker, the masterpiece.

  • “Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder.” — Henry David Thoreau
