  • As his parents saw him coming inside their compound, they were terrified because they thought that their son was dead and gone.

His poor mother called him by his name and he answered and she rushed him and hugged him as his father was reluctant.

He couldn't believe his eyes that his lost son was still alive, and he walked up to him and his son told him that it was him body and soul and he couldn't believe him because it has been ten years since he went missing.

And they have already concluded his burial rites and have buried an empty casket in his place.

And he bent down and packed some sands in his palm and threw it at him and he did not vanish and and he said to his poor dad.

"I told you it's me, am not dead, your son is still alive"

Hearing his voice again his dad hugged him and cried so bitterly. And he asked about his little sister, the only sibling he had and they told him that she got pregnant and was married to a palm wine tapper.

He cried in his soul as his dad led him in and they all sat in front of their house.

And they asked him where he has been and he told them that he was kidn@pped by org@n h@rvesters, at their farmland and taken so far away from their village and some how he managed to escape.

And he wandered in the forest for days before he found one remote village and from there someone took him to one of the mega cities and he did all kinds of menial jobs to survive.

And one day, opportunity came knocking. One rich man saw how he was hustling and asked him if he can help him as one of his workers in his warehouse and he accepted and followed the man.

And because of his transparency all the people that were stealing from the man was exposed and sacked because he didn't want to compromise and become a thief like them.

And the man made him his manager and he served him for years and all he got from the man all those years were nothing but food and shelter.

And one faithful day, the man told him that he wants to relocate to America with his family.

He cried his heart out because he didn't know where to go from there.

But finally; the man told him that he is a good man, that he is giving him the branch of the warehouse he is managing as a settlement for his years of hard-work and transparency and he gave him the authority to be supervising his other warehouses and that was how he became wealthy .

He told his parents that he has many houses in the city and have come to the village to wipe their tears.

So, he built a big house for his parents in the village and set up a good business for them there, since they have never traveled before and would not thrive well in the city.

He brought his younger sister out of the dàmnéd marriage because she was being abused by the old man that had two wives before he married her as a teenager because she had a child out of wedlock.

He took his sister to the city and enrolled her in school. He became the light of his family and made sure that they lacked nothing.

He did some community projects in his village and empowered some youths.

And that was how he became a light to his family and his community.

The narrator looked up to the sky, pointing his index finger to the heavens and said.

"God is still alive, he Is still saying something about you. He can change your situation no matter where you are or where you are from."

    He paused and said again

  • Episode 2: The Jealousy of Onwa

As time passed, Onwa's envy of Anyanwu grew stronger. He began to believe that the world needed his light more than his sister's. One fateful night, when the sky was clear and bright with the full moon, Onwa approached Chukwu, the supreme deity.

"Great Chukwu," Onwa began, bowing low. "I seek your wisdom. Why is it that Anyanwu shines so brightly, while I, who rule the night, am left in the shadows? Can I not have the power to bring light to the day as well?"

Chukwu, ever wise, gazed down upon Onwa. "Each of you has a purpose, Onwa," he said. "Your sister brings life to the earth with her warmth, while you give rest and reflection. Both are necessary for the world to thrive."

But Onwa was not satisfied. "I want more than rest and reflection," he insisted. "I want the people to love me as they love Anyanwu."

Chukwu sighed, knowing that the young moon was struggling with his role. "Very well, Onwa. I will grant you the power to shine as brightly as the sun-but only for one night. You will be known as Onwa Anya Nkwo, the moon that burns like the sun. Let the people see what it is like to live in your light."

Overjoyed, Onwa returned to the sky that night, and true to Chukwu's word, he shone with a radiance as bright as Anyanwu's. The people below marveled at the sight of the moon glowing like the sun. They danced in the streets, celebrating the unusual night.

But as the hours passed, the people grew weary. The crops, which usually rested in the cool night, began to wither under the constant heat. The rivers, deprived of their nightly coolness, began to dry up. The animals that thrived in the moonlight hid in fear. What had once been a night of wonder turned into one of distress.

As dawn approached, Anyanwu watched from the horizon, her heart heavy with sorrow for her brother's actions. She knew that his desire to be loved had led him astray. When the time came for her to rise, she hesitated. She did not want to shame Onwa, but the land was suffering without her light.

With a deep breath, Anyanwu rose in the sky, her brilliant rays piercing through the fading light of Onwa. The people sighed in relief as the sun took its rightful place in the heavens, restoring balance to the earth.

  • Calamity In The Land

    Episode Six

    "Aru! "
Some villagers screamed as they saw what has happened.

Mazi Ibe was in his hut when the friend of the girl he had earlier molested came to attack him.

She carried a matchet and threatened to cut Mazi Ibe with it. However, before she could raise it up, Mazi Ibe grabbed hold of the matchet and landed it on her head.

The blood that oozed out of the girl was so much as she fell to the ground and her head rolled one side while her body rolled to the other side.

The villagers found it so abominable to see a daughter of the soil destroyed in such a manner in her own land.

They began to run as their eyes could not behold the sacrilege that just happened.

That night, the kingdom of Ajaka was in a sad mood as they began to remember the number of lives Mazi Ibe has ended while he continued to live.
    .
    .
The moonlight was so bright that a pin could be found if it fell from one's hand. Mazi Ibe could not understand the strange urge he had to rest outside his hut on that particular night.

On a normal night, he had never laid in his hut. He always slept at his secret hut at night, for fear of being visited by the gods of the land.

It has been rumored once that the gods of the land had gone to look for him many times in his hut but has never found him.

The villagers wondered how true that was since they believed that the gods knew everything and should be able to see wherever Mazi Ibe was hiding.

Mazi Ibe lied down on a bamboo mat outside his hut to rest his body and the next thing he saw was some group of young men coming towards him.

Before he could attempt to disappear, they had already surrounded and spread a red cloth on him so his power was affected, such that he could not disappear no matter how hard he tried.

The youths came prepared this time and there was nothing he could do than to surrender and beg for forgiveness.

"My children, please forgive me. I am so sorry for all the atrocities I have committed in this village. "
    Mazi Ibe pleaded.

"Mazi, it is said that anything that has a beginning, also has an end. Today is your end! "
One of the young men said.

"You have made this village a land of calamity by your daily evil deeds and today, justice has come against you! "
Another young man said and they began to cut Mazi Ibe into pieces while he screamed out in pain.

When they were done, they ran out of the scene and pretended as though they didn't know what happened to him.

The next day, the village was in uproar as the villagers all gathered to watch the disgusting sight of how Mazi Ibe was killed.

Looking at his dismantled body on the ground, some villagers began to feel pity for him as they watched some able bodied men packed his pieces together and threw it into the evil forest.

Amongst the young men who murdered Mazi Ibe was a young boy called Kale. He was an only child and an orphan and. No one suspected him to be among the boys that murdered Mazi Ibe because he was a very quiet boy.
    .
    .
One week after Mazi Ibe was murdered, Kale was returning from the farm when some spirits began to chase him. He ran to a powerful Dibia in the village.

When he got there, he ran into the shrine and began to call the native doctor.

    "Wise one, wise one. "
He shouted as he looked around.

The Dibia came out and asked him to sit down.

"Young man, I know what your problem is. You were visited by some spirits today and you are here to find out who they are and why they are after you."
    The Dibia said.

"Yes, wise one. They didn't just visit me, they tried to harm me. Who are they and how did I offend them? "
    Kale asked.

"They are the spirits of the people Mazi Ibe destroyed. They are hovering around you because Mazi Ibe's blood was spilled by you.

You bear the blood of Mazi Ibe in your hands and it is a very evil blood so you won't go without some consequences.

    Monica David
You will need a strong cleansing to put an end to this and live peacefully again."
    The Dibia said.

"Wise one, Mazi Ibe was an evil man who had been killing our vibrant young men and molesting our maidens.

The villagers wanted somebody that could put an end to his wicked existence and we did. Why then is it now seen as a sacrilege? "
    Kale asked.

"My son, it is true that Mazi Ibe was an evil man and the villagers were praying for his destruction but anyone who volunteers to end an evil man's life will bear the consequences, himself. "
    The Dibia revealed.

"What! Are you saying I will now bear the consequences of killing Mazi Ibe? "
    Kale asked.

"Yes, my son. I am afraid, there's no way I can help you. "
The Dibia said, and he asked Kale to leave his shrine.

Just as Kale left the shrine, something unimaginable happened.
