Sola Sobowale hails from Ondo State and was born on the 26th of December, 1963. She is married to Oludotun Sobowale who was the former corporate executive director of EKO Hospital, before relocating to England. The couple have five children together. She revealed that she rejēcts a lot of scripts. In an interview with TVC, she said, "I have rejēcted a lot of scripts. I have to do things that people will take home. Any script I do must change people’s lives, it must turn people’s lives around". Sola was born on December 26, 1965, in Ondo State to Joseph and Esther Olagookun. Her father was a retired principal and her mother, was a førmer headmistress. After her primary and secondary education, she got admitted to the University of Ibadan to study Musîc.
