  • BUSINESS CANNOT MAKE YOU RICH!

You know a woman in your street, who is selling tomatoes, onions and pepper.

    Well, she is in business.

    But she is not rich.

And she almost will never be.

And you must have heard of a business called ShopRite before.

The owners of that company are in business, and they are rich.

And nothing can stop them from being rich.

What is the difference between the owners of ShopRite and that woman?

Well, there is a lot of difference.

    There's difference in mindset.

The owners of ShopRite has the mindset that their business is supposed to function in many different countries at once.

The woman who sell tomatoes has the mindset that her business is only supposed to remain on that street.

    Then there's difference in strategy.

The owners of ShopRite know that they're supposed to attract kings and queens to their products and services, who pay well.

They go ahead to build beautiful and good looking stores, which is a great fit for kings to come shopping.

    Hence, they are well paid.

The woman who sells tomatoes and onions by the street has no strategy for attracting kings.

All her strategy is being used to attract local people and villagers, hence she does business in a dirty and probably old place.

Even if kings came to her, due to the nature of how she present herself and her business, the kings will not value her.

Then, there is branding and marketing difference.

The owners of ShopRite pay good amounts of money to be in the public media.

They get on TV, radio, newspaper, Facebook, etc.

They understand the importance of the media side of business, and how creating a massive brand awareness can work to their favour.

The woman selling tomatoes doesn't know any of that.

She knows nothing about marketing and branding, and simply hopes the people in her locality will notice her enough to buy.

Hence, the only publicity her business gets is the publicity of have passersby look at the wares she displayed.

She is in business, just like the owners of ShopRite, but she cannot be rich like them.

    Why?

Because business cannot make you rich in itself.

It is the mindset, strategy, and publicity, of the business, plus the volumes of financial numbers it does, that makes you rich.

  • “Eating healthy is expensive”
“I don’t have time to cook”

STOP PLAYING CHESS WITH YOUR HEALTH

Here are some cooking ideas to help you create quick healthy recipes.

You can try on a go.

The foods listed will help you:

    -Prevent unnecessary weight gain

    -Boost your mood

    -Revive your energy

And make you feel good again.

The key to healthy eating should not emphasize on “balance diet” in other words balance diet is an old paradigm that should be discarded for good.

Because, “balanced diet” modeled around eating more carbs, less protein and fats.

This is not a sustainable way to eat especially if you are seeking to lose or maintain weight and also optimize your micronutrients intake.

So the most nutrient dense food should be your priority.

They are(in order of nutrient density/availability):

    1. Meats:beef, chicken, goat meat, ponmo, turkey, rabbit, pork, wild game etc.

    2. Eggs(Any edible eggs available).

    3. Offals; Liver, hearts, intestines, and lungs of ruminants

    4. Seafoods: All edible fish in the order of nutrient density fresh fish>smoked fish>dry fish. Limit frying of fish; shrimp, prawns, crabs, oysters, sea snails, calamari etc.

    5. Seasonal fruits: mango, African star apple(udara), Avocado, among other seasonal fruits.

    6. Non starchy vegetables: Local vegetables; cucumber, garden eggs, tomatoes, green peas, green beans, bell peppers carrots, etc. Leafy greens; pumpkin leaf, garden egg leaf, spinach etc. Exotic vegetables; cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and Kale.

    7. Starchy vegetables: Grains; rice. Tuber; yam, potatoes, coco yam. Legumes; Beans, lentils.

This category is where you should practice moderation and must be paired with any of the above categories.

It’s very important not to forget the healthy fats category.

Choose from: olive oil, coconut oil, beef tallow, Avocado oil(most in Nigerian markets are fake) lard, ghee, butter and pure palm oil.

    My Favorite quick combos.

    1. Yam and egg sauce

    2. 4-5 boiled eggs with mix vegetable sauce.

    3. 4 Egged omelette with mixed vegetables sautéed in olive oil on side.

    4. Any of yam or plantain porridge with smoked fish.

    5. Boiled Beef and Salt.

You can also try rice with plenty of leafy greens and boiled eggs.

Beans cooked with plenty crayfish and smoked fish.

Any swallow of choice except semo and wheat(portion controlled) with plenty protein rich soups.

    Thanks for reading.

Tomato have high acidity & less vitamin C.

Eat more bell pepper and get your stomach walls healed..

Bell peppers are very high in vitamin C and low in acidity...

  • DROPPED OUT OF SCHOOL AND STARTED TOMATOES, MY JOURNEY
    My Tomato Farming Journey

I dropped out of school because I couldn’t afford the fees, and farming was the only option left for me. It became my only means of supporting my poor parents.

I chose tomato farming because it has a shorter growth cycle and requires less investment compared to other crops and vegetables.

My first year was a complete mess, but I didn’t give up because I was still learning. By the second year, I started making progress, and now, in my third year, I am finally achieving the excellent results I have always dreamed of.

I have been able to recruit a few workers, creating employment opportunities for over 50 people. My family and siblings also work with me and continue to support my journey.

Today, I sell tomatoes both locally and internationally. I also process some into tomato powder and paste. I sun-dry tomatoes to make pepper and use high-quality machines to process the paste for better preservation and export.

Dropping out of school wasn’t my choice, but I don’t regret it. I encourage young people like me to explore the soil and build their own success. Agriculture is wealth
