    1. Azubuike Chibuzo Nelson aka Phyno was born and raised in Enugu State. He is an indigene of Anambra state and hails from a family of 5 kids with him being the 4th.

    2. His stage name Phyno is derived from the word phenomenal, and was the nickname given to him by one of his secondary school friends named Emeka.

    3. Phyno is widely known as the ambassador of rap music in the Igbo Language. He told the Nigerian Tribune that he raps in Igbo because he respects his culture and loves being himself.

    4. He studied public administration at the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu, and started profiting from music during his second year at IMT.

    5. His latest nickname ‘eze nnunu‘ is an Igbo phrase which means king of birds, a tribute to his childhood ambition of being a pilot.

    6. His official debut single, Ghost Mode which featured Olamide changed the rappers fortunes for good and his career has been on the rise ever since. No Guts No Glory was released to critical acclaim and featured heavyweights such as Olamide, P-Square, Omawumi, MI Abaga, Flavour, Ice Prince and Timaya.
