I often laugh when I hear people say, “Men have nothing to lose.” Meanwhile, “Egungun of Lagos” is trending all over the media due to a scandal. His gorgeous, understanding wife is busy defending her husband, perhaps for “damage control,” which seems pointless because I can't understand what kind of love would make a woman defend her partner so fiercely when the offense is glaring. I vividly recall how Adesua (wife of Banky W) remained silent amidst the attempts to tarnish her marriage, which showed “maturity.” But Egungun’s wife, on the other hand, is fully immersed in her husband's world and keeps spewing gibberish. “Silence they say is golden maybe baby girl is drunk in love.” I don't know who needs to hear this, but be careful who you share your life with because some people have ulterior motives. There are still mature individuals out there, but once you realize you have “vision,” there are certain relationships you need to cut off especially if their mouth is leaking. Call it whatever you want; Egungun’s reputation is at stake. Let’s set aside his money and fame and focus on the obvious fact: the “implications of scandal” on an individual. Despite Davido's involvement in various scandals, he has managed to avoid any leaked videos or photos circulating in the media, which contributes to the respect he still commands. Maybe our school curriculum should be revised so that “S*x Education” finds a place to enlighten future generations about the implications of certain immoral acts. Even as a woman, I find it uncomfortable to undress in front of other women because I know how wicked some hearts can be, especially in this technological era where someone can easily snap a picture of your unclad body. That's one of the reasons I dislike "hostel life" and am so determined to preserve my "privacy."
