Once upon a time, in a world beyond our own, there existed a mystical realm known as Aethoria. This land of wonder was home to ancient forests, shimmering waterfalls, and majestic mountains that touched the sky.

In the heart of Aethoria, there lived a young girl named Lyra. She was a curious and adventurous soul, with hair as bright as the stars and eyes that shone like the moon. Lyra lived in a small village on the outskirts of a vast and enchanted forest, where mythical creatures roamed free and magic was a part of everyday life.

One day, while wandering through the forest, Lyra stumbled upon a hidden clearing. In the center of the clearing stood an enormous tree, its trunk glowing with a soft, ethereal light. As Lyra approached the tree, she felt an strange energy emanating from it, as if it were calling to her.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was an ancient being, with skin as rough as bark and leaves for hair. The being spoke in a voice that was barely audible, yet echoed deep within Lyra's soul.

"Lyra, you have been chosen to fulfill an important quest," the being said. "A dark force has begun to spread across Aethoria, threatening to destroy the delicate balance of nature. You must journey to the heart of the darkness and retrieve the fabled Crystal of Light, which holds the power to vanquish the shadows."

Without hesitation, Lyra accepted the challenge. She set off on her perilous journey, facing countless obstacles and dangers along the way. She encountered fierce creatures, navigated treacherous landscapes, and solved complex puzzles that tested her courage and wit.

As Lyra drew closer to the heart of the darkness, she began to realize that the journey was not just about retrieving the Crystal of Light, but also about discovering her own inner strength and purpose. She learned to harness the power of her own imagination, to trust her instincts, and to believe in herself.

Finally, after many long and arduous days, Lyra reached the heart of the darkness. There, she found a vast and foreboding castle, its walls shrouded in a thick, impenetrable mist. With a deep breath, Lyra stepped forward, her heart pounding with anticipation and fear.

As she entered the castle, Lyra was met with a terrifying sight. A massive dragon, its scales as black as coal, its eyes glowing like embers, guarded the Crystal of Light. The dragon's roar was like thunder, shaking the very foundations of the castle.

Undaunted, Lyra approached the dragon, her voice steady and calm. "I mean you no harm," she said. "I have come to retrieve the Crystal of Light, to save Aethoria from the darkness that threatens to consume it."

The dragon regarded Lyra for a moment, then nodded its great head. "I have been waiting for you," it said. "You have shown bravery and determination. Take the Crystal of Light, and may it guide you on your journey."

With the crystal in hand, Lyra returned to her village, where she was greeted as a hero. The darkness that had threatened to consume Aethoria began to recede, and the land was once again filled with light and life.

Lyra's journey had changed her forever. She had discovered her own inner strength, and had learned to harness the power of her imagination. She had saved Aethoria from the brink of destruction, and had become a legend in her own time.

And so, Lyra's story was passed down through the generations, inspiring countless others to embark on their own journeys of discovery and adventure. For in a world filled with wonder and magic, anything is possible, and the boundaries of reality are limited only by the power of our imagination.

One with God is a majority

I know a lot of men want to marry g!rls in their early 20s largely because of their youthfulness,

But the truth is, while their youth is enticing, g!rls within that age range still have so much to learn from life.

AGE shapes a woman better than education or exposure can ever do. There are things only age can teach a w||man.

No matter how exposed or educated a girl in her early 20s, she still believes she has time,

And that concept of “I’m still young” creates an HINDERANCE and doesn’t give her the URGENCY she needs to face life or plan her life.

Assuming she’s 21-22, even if she waste 3 years of her life chasing fantasies, she’ll still be 25 and still in her prime.

But a 25 year old girl cannot afford to waste 3 years of her life chasing fantasies because now she feels the URGENCY.

URGENCY shapes a woman’s mindset, because age serves as a constant reminder that she cannot afford to waste any more years on fruitless dating or social activities.

If you hang around sensible ladies in their late 20s or early 30s, the energy flow is different, the conversation is different.

They’re thinking business, investments, family values, how to ensure they’re not liabilities to their man and how to support him.

While majority of girls in their early 20s are discussing Saidaboj, thinking hairdo, fancy nails, latest fashion, phones with clean camera and how to find a man that’ll spoil them.

They often come to dates empty handed, No transportation, no data to chat, no airtime to call, “ Babe I don’t like what they cooked at home.

90% of girls in their early 20s, do not like being asked what they’d bring to the table, they find it offensive because they still think they’ve got time and options. ( To be fair, they’re brokies)

Only 10% of them are built different but even at that, age is still a factor, You’d have to be patient with them.

The mindset of “ I’m still young “ HINDERS a lot of them from taking their lives seriously and it is completely natural.

Before NYSC

1. Get your statement of results
2. Request your academic transcript or download the one on your portal and merge it into a PDF.
3. Request for proof of English as the language of instruction in your university (letter from the registrar's office).
4. Ensure that you have a good relationship with at least 3 lecturers.

Done and dusted is dangerous!!!!
You are not done until you are done.

During NYSC

1. Write standardized exams in line with your next phase of life (GRE, TOEFL, GMAT, etc)

Note: The US embassy in Nigeria funds some of these through the opportunity fund program.

2. Explore professional training and certifications (ICAN, NIM etc).

3. Do not ignore the opportunity to Intern (research assistantship, Ass. QC analysts, etc).

4. Explore Opportunities (some described below).

A. Scholarships

Local: BEA, OFP (US embassy), NNPC, Shell, etc.

Regional: Pan African University Scholarship etc.

International: Chevening, Commonwealth, MasterCard etc.

Institutional: Vice Chancellor scholarships, sports or art scholarships etc.

NOTE: If the International scholarship is your choice, no one needs your NYSC certificate before you can start applying.

B. Grants

Regional: Tony Elumelu Foundation Grant....

International: Geneva Challenge.......

C. Fellowships (No international trip during NYSC, don't forget )

D. Conferences (No international trip during NYSC don't forget )

5. Let your CDS contribution be remarkable (a recommendation letter acknowledging your role will be important).

6. Don't run with the multitude, realities after NYSC differ.

7. Don't be under pressure (After NYSC what Next???), You may hasten yourself to many errors.

8. Grow yourself in Welcoming rejections, you may get a few while applying.

9. Apply as much as you can

10. Pray as much as you can.

Note: Create two CVs (one academic and one general). It helps to maximize your applications.

After NYSC

If you haven't accomplished any of the above,

1. Be truthful to yourself (Are you willing to stay in the state of deployment or go back home?)

2. Resist pressure (Being alive is more important than anything else, don't let anyone overpush you).

3. Develop a mindset that no one owes you anything (It helps in managing disappointment).

4. Identify platforms where legal opportunities are shared.

A. LinkedIn
B. Twitter
C. Opportunity desk
D. Opportunity for Africans
E. Scholarship hub.
Etc.

5. While applying and waiting, get yourself busy

1. Write a manuscript from your undergraduate project
2. Submit conference abstracts
3. Register with an organization (volunteer) and start gathering experience.
4. Start learning a hands-on skill that you may need later in life. Could also be digital training in Bioinformatics, data science, AI, ML, Coding, Programming, etc.

If all of these fail????

Keep trying!
You only need one major opportunity!
When it comes, you'll forget the days of pains
