  • THE SILENT BATTLE OF LOW SELF-ESTEEM ROBBED TOLU THE LOVE OF A REAL MAN

Find out how not to make the same mistake.

Tolu sat on the edge of the bed, staring at her reflection in the mirror. The woman looking back at her had tired eyes, a forced smile, and a heart full of doubts.

Daniel, her fiancé, had just sent her a sweet message about their upcoming wedding, but instead of feeling joy, she felt unworthy.

"What does he even see in me?" she whispered to herself.

Growing up, Tolu was never the most beautiful or the smartest.

She was the quiet girl in the corner, the one who never believed she was enough.

Her father’s harsh words still echoed in her mind "You're too clumsy, Tolu. Who will even marry you?"

Even when Daniel came into her life, showering her with love, her past wounds whispered that it was only a matter of time before he saw the truth: that she was not worth loving.

It started subtly. She would brush off his compliments, thinking he was just being nice.

When he held her close, she tensed, believing he would one day let go. And then, without realizing it, she began sabotaging their love.

"Why do you love me, Daniel? There are better women out there," she blurted out one evening.
Daniel sighed, holding her hands. "Because you're kind, you're beautiful, and you make me happy."

She pulled away. "No, I'm not. I'm not enough for you."

Days turned into weeks, and Tolu’s self-doubt became a wall between them.

Every time Daniel reassured her, she found a reason to disbelieve him.

She avoided dates, rejected his affection, and convinced herself that he would eventually leave. And one day, after another argument fueled by her insecurities, he did.

As she watched him walk away, her heart shattered. Not because he didn’t love her, but because she had never learned to love herself.

Low self-esteem doesn’t just affect how you see yourself—it affects how you love and how you receive love. It creates fear where there should be trust, distance where there should be intimacy.

If you’ve ever felt like Tolu, it’s time to break the cycle.

You deserve love—not just from someone else, but from yourself.

Join THE WAITLIST FOR THE COURSE HOW TO DEAL WITH LOW SELF-ESTEEM AND BECOME PRODUCTIVE and learn how to embrace your worth so you don’t push love away when it comes knocking.

  • If you love someone, but you don’t use your words and your actions to communicate it, you’re not doing right by your partner. If you trust someone, let them know it. Marriage and communication should go hand-in-hand.

If you can communicate honestly, your marriage has a good chance of being happy and healthy. In fact, the importance of communication should be considered right from the courtship days as it sets the right foundation of the relationship.

Research tells us that open husband and wife communication is the cornerstone of any and every long and loving marriage. The problem is that some people just aren’t good at it.
