    TOPIC: "LOVE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS"

THURSDAY 13TH FEBRUARY 2025. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
    -------------------------------------------------
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

In our previous study, we talked about the gift of eternal life that's imparted to be born again. Now, that wonderful gift of eternal life comes with two associate virtues: love and righteousness. You can't get them anywhere else. Upon receiving eternal life, the love of God is automatically shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).

Christ in you means the nature of God is in you, and God's nature is love. The Bible says, "...God is love..." (1 John 4:16). That love resides in your spirit; your responsibility is to let that love flow through you. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." Having reached out to us in love through Christ, He has given us the ministry of reconciliation, to win others and bring them into His love. The second thing is righteousness; Christ has made you righteous. Ephesians 4:24 says you were created in righteousness and true holiness. Romans 5:18-19 says, "Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." Think about that!

With all the sins you've ever committed, with all the evil you may have done, Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, gives you His righteousness. Now you can stand in the presence of God just like He does. You have become as pure as He is washed, sanctified, justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of God. And having received this divine nature of righteousness, you reign in life through Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

    PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank You for Your liquid love that's shed abroad in my heart, and the gift of righteousness by which I reign in life through Jesus Christ. I live in the power of Your love and righteousness. Thank You for making me holy and blameless; I walk in the consciousness of this truth, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

TOPIC: "EXERCISE YOUR AUTHORITY IN CHRIST"

TUESDAY 11TH FEBRUARY 2025. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
    -------------------------------------------------
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19)

The Lord Jesus gave us power and authority, and you don't need any special faith to exercise that authority. You don't need to 'work up' faith to exercise your dominion in Christ. Therefore, simply take your place in Christ and "...Resist the devil, and he will flee..." (James 4:7).

Perhaps there have been recurrent cases of sickness or other kinds of challenges with members of your family; exercise your authority! Declare, "Satan, I command you to stop your manoeuvres and operations in my home and amongst my family members, in the Name of Jesus!" Every demon will bow and leave.

Sometimes, in some homes, there could be so much anger-everyone seems to be on edge-tension fills the air and no one knows why. You that are born again in that home should exercise authority over the demon of anger. Find a quiet place to pray, and then say, "You spirit of anger, get out of this home." You don't need to shout or jump around; just speak with authority and command the devil to leave.

In Mark 16:17, the Lord Jesus said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils...." In Matthew 10:8 He said, "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils...." Once you perceive or encounter situations that are caused or influenced by devils, don't negotiate; exercise the authority that Christ has given you.

Take for example you were in a place where a child suddenly started convulsing or experiencing a bout of seizures; cast the devil out and command it to return no more. Then, declare wholeness and perfection for that child. Jesus gave us absolute dominion over demons and the powers of darkness; therefore, cast them out in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

    PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank You for the authority You have given me in Christ Jesus. I declare that I walk in dominion, subduing every work of the enemy. By the power of the Holy Spirit, I exercise authority over every negative circumstance and demonic influence in my life, my home, and my environment. I thank You for the victory that is mine through Christ Jesus, and I live every day in the boldness of this authority, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

    TOPIC: "POWER TO EFFECT CHANGES"

MONDAY 10TH FEBRUARY 2025. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
    -------------------------------------------------
Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases (Luke 9:1)

Οbserve what the Bible says in the opening verse. It tells us the Lord Jesus gave His disciples both power and authority. We often speak about authority, but let's focus on power for a moment. Power is the dynamic, inherent ability to cause changes. It's the kind of power that reproduces itself, a power that shows through tangible results. When Jesus spoke of this power, He was referring to the ability to create real change in situations.

He told us that He has given us power and authority over all devils and the ability to cure diseases. I wish that everyone who is sick, diseased or afflicted would grasp this. If they only understood that the divine ability is right there in their spirits to effect a change in their conditions.

The Lord Jesus said in Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you...." Power here means the dynamic ability to effect changes, power that works like a dynamo, power with which you can create or recreate anything. Put this power to work today. It's not something that will flow into you from heaven; it's already within you, and it has the ability to cause cancer to dematerialize!

I remember once laying hands on a man who had a large growth on his back, about the size of an egg. As I placed my hand on the growth, I could feel it move beneath my palm. It was the power of God working right there, causing the growth to move in and out as I spoke the Word. The power was effecting changes. I then commanded the growth to go, and it did! This dynamic, life-changing power is available to all who believe; put it to work today.

    PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank You for enduing me with the dynamic power to effect changes and make a difference in the lives of others. As I minister Your Word, Your power works in me mightily, bringing healing, restoration, and deliverance to many. I'm full of faith, and I walk in this authority to transform lives for Your glory, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

TOPIC: "INTIMACY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT"

THURSDAY 6TH FEBRUARY 2025. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
    -------------------------------------------------
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (2 Corinthians 13:14).

The foundational principles of developing a personal and intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit is through the Word of God and prayer. It's important to yield to Him through the Word and deepen your relationship with Him through prayer. Every relationship without communication dies, irrespective of what that relationship is, whether it's the relationship between parents and their children, spouses, co-workers, etc.

On the other hand, good communication nourishes and enhances relationships. If you're going to have a richer fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you need to commune effectively with Him in prayer. He's a person, and you've got to relate to Him as a person. Read our opening scripture again; it indicates the kind of relationship we're supposed to have with the Lord.

The Father is in heaven, and Jesus has gone to heaven; only the Holy Spirit is here with us. The God we know and relate to today is the Holy Spirit. He makes the presence of the Father and the presence of Jesus real to you. So, learn to talk to Him. That's why speaking in tongues is also vital. Speak in tongues often.

The Apostle Paul serves as a great example of a successful Christian and minister, and one of his secrets was fellowship with the Holy Spirit through prayer. He said, "I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all" (1 Corinthians 14:18). If Paul realized it was necessary for him to speak in tongues so much that he could say he spoke with tongues more than the whole Corinthian church, then you must recognize its importance. Speak in tongues every day and every so often, and build a sturdy relationship with the Holy Spirit.

    PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit; I recognize His presence in my life and yield fully to His leading. As I fellowship with Him, my spirit is built strong, and I'm empowered to live victoriously, every day, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

    VESSELS OF DIVINE POWER

    Thursday, November 21ST 2024

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us (2 Corinthians 4:7).

    PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Did you know that as a child of God, you have an indescribable treasure in you? God has deposited His divine power and glory within our earthen vessels, our human bodies. We're vessels of divine power. Why did He do this? The Scripture tells us why: that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

His extraordinary power and glory are tabernacled in our physical bodies so that when they're manifested, everyone would see and recognize they're not of human origin. They're beyond anything human strength can produce. Glory to God! No wonder Paul said, Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God (2 Corinthians 3:5).

Read our opening verse again, this time, from the Amplified Classic for a clearer understanding. It says, However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves. Every day is an opportunity for you to manifest God's glory and power. The Bible says He's called us to a life of glory and virtue, a life of excellence (2 Peter 1:3).

Your life is for the glory of God. Hallelujah! Every day, as you live by faith and walk in the knowledge of God, you demonstrate the divine power that is within you. As a result of this divine power, the Bible says you've been granted all things that pertain to life and godliness. You've become a participator in the divine experience, a partaker of the divine nature.

Nothing is impossible with you. You can do the unthinkable and the unimaginable: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" Ephesians 3:20. Live boldly and confidently every day, knowing that God's extraordinary power is at work in you and effuses through you for His glory. You're a vessel of divine power.

    PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the precious treasure of your divine power and glory within me. I am grateful that your extraordinary power is manifested in my life for your glory. I live in the consciousness of this truth, shining your light and manifesting your glory to the world as I walk in your power and righteousness, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

DISPLAYING HIS EXCELLENCE AND PERFECTION - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME
    ═══════════════
    Sunday, November 17th 2024
    ═══════════════
..But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9 NET)
    ═══════════════
In the book of Acts, Luke reports how Peter and John healed a man who had been lame from birth. As a result, Peter and John were arrested and brought before the Sanhedrin (the Jewish council). During their interrogation, Peter boldly spoke about Jesus and the power of His Name.

The Sanhedrin observed Peter and John's courage and their profound understanding of divine realities, despite their lack of formal education (Acts 4:13). They saw in Peter and John the display of the excellence and perfection of Christ. It's no surprise that the same Peter, by the Spirit, would write in 1 Peter 2:9, "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light."

This is very significant as the term "show forth" translates from the Greek "exaggellō," which means to display. Think about that as your calling, your assignment; it's to display the excellence and perfection of divinity. The King James Version uses the term ''praises" but that doesn't fully convey the meaning. The best word for it is a combination of excellence and perfection.

So, when it says you should show forth the praises of Him, it means you're to display the excellencies and perfections of the one who called you out of darkness. The AMPC renders it a bit more accurately: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light."

Every day is an opportunity for you to fulfil this unique calling, to display the wonders, glory, perfections, love, grace, mercy and righteousness of Christ to the world. Hallelujah!

It's no surprise that the same Peter, by the Spirit, would write in 1 Peter 2:9, "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light." This is very significant as the term "show forth" translates from the Greek "exaggellō," which means to display. The AMPC renders it a bit more accurately: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light." Every day is an opportunity for you to fulfil this unique calling, to display the wonders, glory, perfections, love, grace, mercy and righteousness of Christ to the world. *HIS WORD—A GUIDING LIGHT*

    Friday, November 8th .

_*For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light (Psalm 36:9).*_

    PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME
Some people allow past experiences or disappointments to shape their relationship with God, and that's wrong. God's Word is and must remain the foundation of your walk with Him. Your daily relationship with Him should be guided by His Word, not by what you have faced or what others say. His Word is the light that guides us every step of the way. Hallelujah!

Remember the words of the psalmist, _*"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path"*_ (Psalm 119:105). Those who ignore the Word grope in the dark and face so many calamities in life: _*"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."*_ (Hosea 4:6). The Word of God is your life and your light; so never be casual or too familiar with the Word.

Let the truths and realities of the Scriptures stir you up all the time. Love the Word. Hear the Word and acknowledge it; and then live the Word. That's what you need to win every day. That's what you need to walk in the supernatural every day. The Lord Jesus said in John 8:12, _*"...I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."*_ How do you follow Him?

You follow Him in the Word, through the Word, and by the Word. Then He says, when you follow Him, not only will you not walk in darkness, you'll have the light of life. In other words, you'll have answers; you'll have solutions to life's issues and problems. You'll be a victor all the way. You'll know exactly which way to go and what the direction for your life is. That's what the Word gives you. Light gives direction. Light shows the way. God's Word (His Light) illuminates your path to see, apprehend, and walk in the path God has preordained for you—His destiny for your life. Hallelujah!

    *PRAYER*

*Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that is a guiding light in my life, illuminating my path as I fulfil my destiny in Christ, guided by your truth and wisdom. Thank you for granting me answers, solutions and the clarity I need to fulfil my purpose, in Jesus' Name. Amen.*

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith (Mark 11:23)
    ═══════════════
You must learn to speak in alignment with God's Word, not with the language of fear or negativity that the world teaches. For example, instead of saying, "l'm afraid it's going to rain; simply say, "It's going to rain!" Don't talk fear!

If you're searching for something and can't seem to find it, or you're trying to move something heavy, what should your response be? Never say, "I can't?" You see, that's what the world has dropped into the hearts of many that's so difficult to eradicate. But you're different. You're a child of God, and in our Kingdom, we talk differently. We speak faith, not fear, doubt, or unbelief.

Using the expression, "I can't" reinforces a mindset of limitation. One might think it's just about a specific situation, like not being able to move something, but it's more than that. It's incongruous with your divine nature. Recall what Paul said: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 NKJV). In Christianity, we have the "I-can-do" mentality. It forms the basis for our communication.

2 Corinthians 4:13 says, "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." We speak the Word. We speak in alignment with the divine realities of our heavenly Kingdom. Life is about what you say. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." So, mind your language; speak right. Speak truth; God's Word is truth (John 17:17).

    HIS WORD—A GUIDING LIGHT
For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light (Psalm 36:9).

Some people allow past experiences or disappointments to shape their relationship with God, and that’s wrong. God’s Word is and must remain the foundation of your walk with Him. Your daily relationship with Him should be guided by His Word, not by what you have faced or what others say. His Word is the light that guides us every step of the way. Hallelujah!
