  • PORTRAITS OF SHAME

In the market you find a poor woman with a baby at her back you lower your car window and with a military rough command voice you asked her:

How much are you selling those onions and bananas?

    The poor seller politely replies,
"N1,500 for a bunch of bananas and N1,000 for a pack of onions.''

With pride you demand the bunch of bananas at N800 and the the pack of onions at N700 or else you will leave.

The poor seller resigns to fate and replies, "take them at the price you want. I have not made any sale today, at least I have something for supper now."

She has made a loss but she goes further to buy a plastic bag for you to pack the two items you have just bought.

You order her to hurry up otherwise you may change your mind. She apologises and with a smile, she gives you the items and she blesses you for patronizing her.

You literally throw the money at her and you sped away leaving behind a cloud of smoke and dust which causes a bit of discomfort to her and the baby. She is coughing while securing her little money. Her poverty has left her with no choice.

You have now arrived at the 5-star restaurant where you are to meet friends and you ask them to order food and drinks of their choice.

They order expensive food and the leftovers are more than the food they have eaten.

The total bill is N65,000 and you pay without bargaining, you gave a tip of N5,000 appreciating the waiter for a delicious meal....which you didn't eat even half of.

This incident might seem quite normal to you but it's inhumane...

    THE POINT IS:-

Why do we always show that we have the bargaining power when we buy from the poor?

Why do we become arrogant when buying from the poor?

Why do we become stingy when buying from the vulnerable?

Why do we show generosity to those who do not even need our generosity?

Why do we become polite when buying from the rich who view our money as mere change?

Why do we channel money to a sea of money?

Please buy simple goods from the poor people at high prices....do it deliberately.

Sometimes, pay extra for the items you buy from poor women...you are only blessing them in your little way

Please where possible buy items from local markets.

To everyone reading this, please, everytime you see them in traffic, taxi parks, bus stops, on the streets....just buy!

Don't bargain. They are not looking for money to buy expensive clothes or mansions or cars, but to feed their children back home and pay school fees.

    Please let's support the less privileged #everyone #follower #viralpost2024 #highlightsγ‚·γ‚š

  • (PART 1) Millionaire Marries an Obese Woman as a Bet—But Is Surprised When...

In the bustling city of Lagos there lived four wealthy naughty friends who often gathered to have a drink and share stories. These friends—Leo, James, Lucas, and Tobi—were known for their wild games and silly dares. They were young, rich, and always in search of fun, which often involved outrageous bets they dared each other to complete.

On one warm evening, they were lounging at their favorite bar, a lively place right across the street from a busy bakery. People walked in and out of the bakery, buying freshly baked bread, while the friends laughed and talked about their recent bets. Tobi, the silliest of them all, was still proud of how he had won the last challenge Leo had dared him to flirt and sleep with a serious, no-nonsense secretary from Tobi’s church. Tobi eventually won the secretary over and slept with her. The boys laughed over this memory, with Tobi shaking his head, already plotting his revenge.

As they sipped their drinks, Tobi’s eyes wandered across the street and landed on a woman who looked nothing like the girls they usually noticed. She was standing behind a counter, wearing a simple, worn apron, carefully handing a loaf of bread to a customer. She looked round and plump, her face soft with a kind smile, but her clothes were plain, and she didn’t have the polished look of someone who moved in their circles. This was Sarah, a modest baker, who had no idea that she was being watched by four mischievous eyes across the street.

Tobi smirked and nudged Leo, pointing in Sarah’s direction. “See that woman over there? I bet you won’t be able to win her over. Marry her for six months, and I’ll pay for your entire wedding, honeymoon, and all your travel expenses for two years. What do you say?”

James and Lucas burst out laughing. James leaned in and said, “This is too far, Tobi. Leo can’t do this one! She’s nothing like the women he’s used to.”

But Leo was the kind of person who never backed down from a challenge. Mischief sparked in his eyes as he studied Sarah from afar. She was definitely different from anyone he’d dated—simple, plumped, grounded, and perhaps even shy. Something about the challenge stirred his curiosity. Without another word, he got up from his seat, left his drink behind, and walked across the street towards the bakery.

Inside the bakery, the warm smell of fresh bread filled the air. Sarah was busy serving customers when Leo walked in. His expensive clothes and confident air caught her attention, but she quickly looked away, not thinking too much of it. Leo cleared his throat as he approached the counter, giving her his best charming smile.

“Hello there,” he greeted smoothly. “Can I have a loaf of bread, please?”

Sarah looked at him, her eyes narrowing in slight suspicion, though she was polite. “Sure,” she said, handing him the loaf. Leo tried to make small talk, asking her name and telling her how he’d never tasted bread as fresh as hers. But Sarah kept her responses short and focused on her work. Unlike other women who would have been drawn to his charm and flashy clothes, she was unimpressed. This only made Leo more intrigued.

Leo left the bakery that evening with her contact number, but he knew he had his work cut out for him. Sarah was unlike any woman he’d met. She wasn’t swayed by his wealth or his confident smile, and that made the challenge even more exciting.

Over the next few days, Leo kept calling Sarah, arranging for dates and taking her out to fancy places. He showered her with gifts, bought her new clothes, and even took her to high-end restaurants. But Sarah was cautious. She had always worked hard for everything she had and was skeptical of people who tried to woo her with wealth. In her experience, people like Leo came and went quickly, never serious and never interested in the simple things that she held dear.

When Leo took her to a fancy dinner, she looked around at the crystal glasses and golden decorations with a small, nervous smile. It wasn’t that she didn’t appreciate nice things, but she felt like she didn’t quite belong. She noticed Leo’s wandering eyes every time a woman passed their table and even began to wonder if he was serious about her. Her cautious heart warned her to pull back before she got too attached to him.

One evening, after a luxurious dinner, Leo noticed that Sarah was growing quieter. She seemed uneasy, her thoughts distant, and her responses short. As they parted ways, she gently told him that she needed some time to think. Leo, who was always used to women fawning over him, was taken aback. For the first time, he felt a pang of fear that Sarah might slip away before he’d even had a chance to know her better.

James, Lucas, and Tobi laughed when they heard that Sarah had not fallen for Leo’s charm as easily as they’d expected.

  • Angela's dilemma
    Episode 1

My name is Angela. I lost my parents when I was young. My mom's younger sister, my aunt, took me in. She was very kind and cared for me like her own daughter.

My aunt was a police officer, and she always made sure I was okay. I saw her as my mom and loved her for it.

When I was 16, my aunt got married. But after two years, she still couldn't have children. Then, she started changing. She would shout at me for every small mistake.

I didn't understand why until one day when I came home from school. I opened the living room door and saw my aunt and uncle watching a romantic movie together. I greeted them politely and passed by, but I noticed my uncle staring at my backside.

Later that evening, my aunt came to me privately and scolded me, warning me to stay away from her husband.

It was a Saturday morning, and I was cleaning the house and washing clothes. While mopping my aunt and uncle's room, my uncle accidentally stumbled on me with a towel tied around his waist. Feeling uncomfortable and sorry for the incident, I immediately apologized and tried to walk out.

But my uncle said, "It's fine, continue what you're doing." I struggled not to look at his body.

While cleaning, I saw him drop the towel. I felt strange, my heart racing.

"Don't be shy, look," my uncle said, noticing my discomfort.

I refused to answer or look and quickly covered my eyes and walked out of the room.

I was scared to tell my aunt, fearing it would break her marriage or get me in trouble.

"What if she doesn't believe me?" I thought.

Then, something strange happened. My aunt started acting weird, saying I should go live with her lesbian friend so I wouldn't tempt her husband.

*ANYONE THAT ANNOYS YOU* --is teaching you patience and calmness.

*ANYONE THAT ABANDONS YOU* --is teaching you how to stand up on your own feet.

*ANYBODY THAT OFFENDS YOU* --is teaching you forgiveness and compassion.

*ANYTHING THAT YOU HATE* --is teaching you, unconditional love.

*ANYTHING THAT YOU FEAR* --is teaching you the courage to overcome your fears.

*ANYTHING YOU CAN'T CONTROL* --is teaching you to let go.

*ANY "NO" YOU GET FROM HUMAN* --is teaching you to be independent.

*ANY PROBLEM YOU'RE FACING* --is teaching you how to get a solution to problems.

*ANY ATTACK YOU GET FROM PEOPLE* --is teaching you the best form of defence.

*ANYONE WHO LOOKS DOWN ON YOU* --is teaching you to look up to CREATOR ( *GOD* ).

Always look out for the lesson in every situation you face in every phase of life.
Be polite, calm, gentle and thankful to God because He will be with you to the end.
Life had taught me lessons. I do not see people at my cross road, because humans are not reliable. I only see God as the author and finisher of my faith.

    *R E F L E C T I O N S*
*When you live your life without anyone betraying, hurting, disappointing, disgracing or offending you, then it means you never did anything worthy.*

*The beauty of life, is that it comes with disappointments and betrayals, from people you least expect.*

*Unfortunately, some of us spend so much time crying over these betrayals and disappointments, and end up becoming victims of all circumstances.*

*Remember One Thing:* *Holding unto anger is like knocking your head on the wall and expecting the other person to feel the pain. You are only hurting yourself.*

*The fact is that the world is full of annoying, naughty, stupid and ungrateful people, and you will always come across them at one point or another in life. But the best thing to do, is to deal with them with wisdom and maturity.*

*You can’t get everyone to love you, think like you or behave like you... never.*

*We must learn to tolerate and overlook certain things, we must try to bury the faults of others and move on with life.*

*Anger, Hatred and Intolerance have caused most of the world's problems and solved none.*

*Life is short, you don't know how much time you have left*

*I beseech you to take the pain and forgive that special person you hold grudges against, and iron out your grievances.*

*Muster the courage and apologise to that person you have offended.*

*Life is not measured by the amount of money, houses or companies you have, but by the positive impact you have made in the lives of others.*
