HOW CAN I TRULY BE SAVED? (2)
God is a good God, who is always for man, He never left man/us with a solution to the issue(s) highlighted earlier.
Man by choice came into a state of death and condemnation, a state of sin.
How can man be saved from this situation he put himself?
God's desire for man never changed, not for once, He had always wanted man to know Him and by knowing Him coming into His eternal plan for man.
Coming to that eternal plan is salvation.
Salvation is how a man can truly be saved.
What then is salvation?
Paul teaches in [Romans 10:9-10]
'9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved'
Salvation is by believing in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead, of course, He died and was buried before He rose from the dead.
Salvation is believing and putting faith solely in that.
Jesus Himself taught that to His disciples
'15 And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned'
[Mark 16:15-16]
So if you've been asking how can I truly be saved? This is the answer by believing the gospel; the message of what God did in Christ to save man.
'For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures'
[1 Corinthians 15:3-4]
Is that all? YES!
That is all!
That is the power of the gospel, that man receives God's great gift freely without charge!
In case you are thinking, well, yes believing the gospel will get me saved, but I have to do more to get me truly saved.
See brother/sister, FAITH IN THE GOSPEL ALONE, NO ADDITIONS, NO SUBTRACTIONS IS WHAT MAKES A MAN TRULY SAVED.
Paul again affirmed this,
'8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast'
[Ephesians 2:8-9]
Not by works, not by whatever appeases your conscience but by faith in what Christ did alone!
This is the endpoint of that intuition man by default has, this is the endpoint to man's wanderings and search for God.
The almighty God saved you freely; without charge by the message of the gospel.
This is how a man comes into God's eternal plan.
This is how a man can be truly be saved.
