CHAPTER TWO

The door leading to Barbara’s kitchen opened. Sophia and three handsome looking men whom Lenora recognized as Felix’s best friends stepped out. Lenora stared astoundingly seeing them.

“You said it was a surprise, Barbara. How come Sophia, Donald, Jack and Steve are here?”. Lenora quizzed musingly. She laughed unbelievably. Barbara’s countenance changed. She did not smile. Her disposition seemed threatened.

“Happy birthday in advance, our dear friend Lenora. We actually came here to surprise you”. Sophia spoke unfriendly. She moved slowly to Lenora and halted.

“You will celebrate this birthday in Abraham’s bosom”. Sophia uttered antagonistically with a hostile smirk. Lenora gobbled in an uncomfortable state. She stood up looking from Barbara to Sophia then to the others.
“What’s going on here? You guys are scaring me”. She turned to Barbara who threw her face away. “Did I do anything wrong?”. She inquired further. Her tone trembled. Her face in despair.

“Guys, let’s finish this!”. Sophia ordered. Donald sluggishly walked up. He grabbed the struggling Lenora and covered her face with a napkin. Her voice unheard. Her hands swirling in the air. Her legs smattering the tiled floor. Barbara exited the scene tearfully and in remorsefulness. Right in the room Barbara ran into, she heard a deep excruciating cry. She knew it was Lenora’s. Suddenly, the place became calm.

“Barbara! Barbara!”. Sophia called out loud. Barbara at a leisurely pace entered the sitting room. She covered her face at the scurvy sight of Lenora’s body. She sobbed.

“We all agreed on this! Why acting emotional? See! We are just five here. It remains between us! Don’t spill this with your childish attitude!”. Donald warned audaciously.

“You guys didn’t tell me you will ki!! Her. You didn’t! We only agreed to keep her away until we are done with Felix! Killing her wasn't the idea! Lenora is my friend!”.

“Will you shut up!". Donald snapped

CHAPTER ONE

“Catalina, please can you accompany me to Barbara’s house? She said she has a special package for me. You know tomorrow is my birthday” Lenora called out Catalina who happened to be her roommate. She had wore her favourite colour, a well-fitted long knee white gown with a touch of sea green beret. She admired herself in the mirror and blushed. Her tall fair disposition with a neatly braided ponytail looking attractive.

“This your birthday go hot ooh, Lenora. See the beauty! Now I know why Felix can’t stop salivating at the sight of you”. Catalina eulogized with a fixed gaze at Lenora and a glorifying smile. Lenora grinned like a Cheshire cat and swirled at the mirror honourably. Catalina chuckled.

“Let’s go abeg!”. Catalina poked her jokingly. She stood up from the bed. “ Barbara’s giving you a surprise package and she didn’t tell me not even Sophia! Somebody that’s stingy and if at all wants to give anybody anything will first of all announce it! I’m shocked ooh!”. Catalina satirized and scoffed.

“We know she’s tightfisted but I guess she has repented. I can’t wait to see the package…..but you won’t go in with me. You will stay outside and wait for me. She said I shouldn’t tell anyone until tomorrow”. Lenora giggled and grinned widely. Catalina looked at her surprisingly and scoffed too.

“This is shocking I must confess! Hmm! Okay oh. I will do as you’ve said. I can’t wait to see what it is. Let’s go”. Lenora and Catalina set off. They got to Barbara’s apartment. Lenora nudged Catalina to stay outside the gate while she went in. Catalina shrugged and hung around. Lenora entered Barbara’s house.

“Hope you came alone?”. Barbara impatiently asked the moment she sighted her. Lenora lied and teased her. She quickly dashed into the couch comfortably.

Barbara?”. Lenora was smiling freely and expectantly. The door leading to Barbara’s kitchen opened.

2️⃣ The *besieged Congolese city of Goma has been rocked by heavy artillery fire* as France warned the regional capital was *on the brink of falling to militia fighters* and Rwandan troops.

The *M23 armed group and Rwandan soldiers entered Goma's centre* on Sunday night after *weeks of advancing on the main city* in DR Congo's mineral-rich North Kivu province.

*French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said the Rwanda-backed offensive _"must stop"_*, expressing his country's solidarity with the Democratic Republic of Congo _"as Goma prepares to fall"_.

With *international pressure mounting for an end to the battle for Goma,* Kenya said on Sunday that Congolese President Felix Tshisekedi and Rwandan President Paul Kagame had agreed to attend a summit in the next two days.

*M23 fighters and 3,000 to 4,000 Rwandan soldiers had been laying siege to Goma* for several days, according to the United Nations and security sources.

Chelsea aims to extend their perfect record in the UEFA Conference League tonight as they face FC Heidenheim in the small German town.

The Blues clash with Bundesliga side FC Heidenheim in their fourth match of the competition. Both teams have won their first three games, but one of their unbeaten streaks will end this evening.

Nicolas Jackson for the goal, wow, sharp touch and finish - brilliant persistence from him and Enzo too to keep it alive

The midfield diamond esq positioning to pin Leicester’s wingers is a nice tweak from Maresca (one we touched on pre game) - allowing Palmer to drop from the tip (centre) into the space created by mainly Enzo’s movement

Last 5 minutes slightly lost the hold of the game, had them suffocated in their half and was sustaining the possession/pressure so nicely - need to get back to that, settle again
