GOD HAS ONE MAIN PRAYER POINT FOR YOUR LIFE!

Exo 33:12 And Moses said unto the LORD... THOU HAST SAID... Thou hast also FOUND GRACE IN MY SIGHT. 13 Now therefore, I PRAY THEE, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, THAT I MAY FIND GRACE IN THY SIGHT...

This opening text is one of my favourite passages in the entire Bible. But this prayer of Moses puzzled me for years. From human perspective, Moses' prayer above is totally illogical. The tenor of the prayer goes something like, "Lord, you said I have found grace in your sight. If so, let me find grace in your sight." To ordinary ears, what an irrational prayer! Or at best, what a prayer of unbelief! Moses, why are you demanding God to do what He already emphatically said He HAS done? When God said He HAS done something, should you request Him to do it again? Moses, you seriously need to go back to the school of faith to learn to simply take God at His word!

Yet, this is how all the people who really knew God in the Bible prayed. It is not just a Moses phenomenon. We saw yesterday that King David prayed exactly the same way. They all prayed God's word back to Him. This kind of prayer is called prayer of supplication. Studying these saints discloses a sobering fact: most christians today do not know how to pray! We mostly pray our own desires. Meanwhile, God wants us to pray His activated word and promise back to Him. Secondly, we often have too many prayer points instead of one God-given prayer. Thirdly, we easily derail from that our single God-given prayer point and drop it for other prayers: our minds lack resolve and focus!

The outcome is that we never pray through any single prayer point for our lives to experience any significant breakthrough and progress. These are the secret power of prayer of supplication: it originates from God, it is one prayer per period of time, and we sustain it until the answer materializes. Henceforth, make the raw material for your supplication prayers God's own prayer point for your life! May you find, tenaciously hold and begin to push through God's prayer point for your life!
