KEY TEXT: Ecclesiastes 11:4 "He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap."

BACKGROUND AND THOUGHTS ON THE TEXT: Stephen Priest Field said, "Most of us live two lives; the life we live and the unfulfilled life within us between the two stands of resistance." One of the greatest enemies of success is ease and comfort. When God wanted to feed the Israelites in the wilderness, He didn't make manna fall in the camp but in the open field which was quite a distance from the camp. Anyone who desired to eat it, had to get up early and walk to the field before it got melted by the sun. The reason many do not experience the life they desire for themselves is because they are too complacent in the face of life's realities. The sense of urgency seems to have eluded a number of people because they are either too satisfied or too afraid or too lazy to do the needful.

People are not poor because there are no helpers but because most people do not want to get out of their comfort zone. Eagles don't stay long in their comfort zone because the mother-eagle will not allow it. It's not a very palatable experience for an eaglet when its mother pushes it to the extreme; but if she doesn't do it, the eaglet may not live to its full potential.

Have you noticed that it is when you're about to break into greatness that oppositions seem to surface from nowhere? Satan does not attack anyone who is not a carrier of God's glory. He attacks you because of what you carry. When you meet someone who is always full of excuses, it's either he has the spirit of laziness or the spirit of fear ruling his life.

APPLICATION: Fear limits destiny. It affects the way one sees things. When a man is full of fear, everything appears like a risk; even the minutest things. Men of fear overthink every move before they finally act, that is if they do. Fear will cripple your destiny if you do not learn to overcome it. For instance, if you desire to be a pilot, you can't function effectively with the fear of heights. Nothing guarantees defeat like fear. God has not promised us an easy journey but He has promised us a safe arrival. The storms of life will come.

The trials and challenges are sure to rear their ugly heads, but God will navigate you to your safe destination if you walk by faith and courage. So, remain encouraged, expectant and hopeful as you travel the road to your destiny.

PRAYER: I speak life, I speak prosperity and I speak soundness of mind, in the name of Jesus.

ACTION POINT: Search deeper into your heart and point out the areas of life that you have allowed fear to constantly torment you and prayerfully cast them out of your life.
