Beyond the Glass
I woke up, gasping for air. The room was silent, the darkness gone. But something felt off.
As I stumbled to my feet, I saw it. A figure, standing just beyond the shattered remains of the mirror.
It was me.
Or, at least, a version of me. One that had been trapped beyond the glass.
The doppelganger's eyes locked onto mine, and I felt a chill run down my spine.
"You're free," it whispered. "But I'm not."
