A church and ten houses were set ablaze by Boko Haram terrorist who invaded the shikarkir community in chibok local government of borno state.
The attack occurred on Tuesday January 14, 2025, barely two days after the terrorist had invaded another chibok village called bamzir where they killed two people and burnt a church.
"A victim whose house was set ablaze, Mallam Daniel shikarkir said his parents and more of the villagers escaped unhurt before their arrival due to such incident wreaked havoc in the neighboring villages and displaced the whole community, now talking most of the refuge or idp are place in safer location,like mbalala, ngorkoli, and chibok town", he said. The latest attack on njiland and shikarkir were worrisome, despite the presence of over 1000 soldiers and 500 vigilante in chibok town and yet this attack have been able to occur.
More needs to be done to ensure the safety and security of our LGA, (chibok)
Chibok needs adequate protection for it's people's and communities, because the people inside it are not more safe.
