The wind howled through the cracks of the old lighthouse as Sarah climbed the spiral staircase, her flashlight beam dancing across the weathered walls. The power had gone out ten minutes ago, along with all communication to the mainland. That wasn't what worried her though - it was the footprints she'd found in the dust, leading upward, still wet from the storm.

According to the logbook, she was supposed to be the only person on duty tonight. Had been for the past three months. The nearest boat was hours away, and in this weather...

A metallic clang echoed from above, followed by the distinct sound of breathing.
