When we seek things, that is all we will ever have-- things. Things hold no power of their own. They are only empowered by what we feed into them. In order words, if we seek things only, we 're not aligning with the prescribed order of God and we find ourselves knocked off and in dissonance with the "straight path". Grow above your possessions.

Don't let your condition determine who you are and make your life go in the wrong direction. Your possession is not your God, don't make it so! Your possession is meant to serve you not for you to serve them. God must be your focus. God is not a gaming machine to get your needs met. When your hope and trust is in God, you can see and do so many things that others may not be able to see and do.
