The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has said it unequivocally condemned the use of the military to evict members of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) from an oil rig. In a statement on Thursday by NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, the Labour Union described as troubling and unconscionable the deployment of military and security operatives to forcefully evacuate NUPENG members from their work site on the Oritsetimeyin oil rig.
