Webster’s dictionary defines authority as 1) “the power or right to give commands, to take action and 2) power of influence, resulting from knowledge.” Jesus says in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
2. You must truly repent of all sin and disobedi-ence and ask for forgiveness. Then you must believe you receive forgiveness and accept it.
First John 1:9 states, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
3. You must renounce any strongholds or curses.
Second Corinthians 4:2 says, “But we have renounced the hidden things of shame . . . ” 4. You must bind the enemy and cast him out.
According to Matthew 18:18, “Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
5. Visualize and announce that you are applying the blood of Jesus over yourself and family.
