The littlest queen
Chapter 33

I watched my daughter as she stood there with tears in her eyes. It brought pa in to my heart to see her like that. She ran out of the room choking in her own tears. Zara and Sophia looked at each other for a few seconds before running after her. The whole room was quiet, everyone was looking at us at this entire situation. Where they confused or astonished, it was hard toe tell. I told the maids to try and defuse the situation by keeping the guests busy and followed my children.

The twins were standing infront of Atara's bedroom, knocking on the door several times.

"Mother she locked herself in het room" said Zara

"She doesn't want ot talk to us or let us in" said Sophia

I gently knocked in the door hoping that maybe she'd open the door.

"Go away" shouted Atara

"Tara, sweetheart open the door" I said

"No, go away" she responded "you lied to me"

"Hunny, let me in so I can tell you everything" I said

She was quiet and didn't respond for two minutes. I was starting to get worried but she slowly opened the door and quickly shutted it. She still had tears in her tears which were now red and puffy from all the crying. I hugged het tightly as I sat next to her in the bed.

"Are you not my real mommy" she asked

"Biologically...no but I loved and raised you since you where born so I am your mother" I responded

"But you are not my blood mother so I'm not your real daughter" She said

"That's nog true of course you are my daughter, my youngest baby girl" I said

"I want to know the truth, who is my real mommy" she asked

As much as I didn't want to talk about it, I had no choice but to tell her the entire truth. I could see that she was deeply hurt. She wiped het tears and said that she wanted to sleep. I wanted to make her understand that we don't need a blood relation for me to be her mother but I respected her wish and quietly left the room.

We had to end the party earlier than planned for two reasons, firstly because the girls were no longer in a spirit to celebrate their birthday and secondly because people where starting toe asked a lot of unnecessary questions. The whole situation was infuriating.

Atara mainly kept to herself. She didn't want to eat with us or to spent time with anyome in general. She was always alone in her room and didn't want anyone to see her for about a week. Her behaviour towards us changed drastically. She started talking to us formaly and she distances herself not only toe is but to het siblings as well. She even went as for as curtsying to them.

If she wasn't in her room, she was at the garden. Flowers have always been het favourite thing. She loved plant them and tending to them. Zara and Sophia tried talking to her as much as I did but even their efforts where left in vain. She was no longer the same young girl she was before.

Guys, I'm really sorry for the late update, I cant wait for this year to bê over because it's been the worst year of my life. Mine and my best friends phones where stolen while we were at a cafe after our classes a week ago, they were in her bag but we don't know who stole them and how. I thank God for my mom she just bought me a new one yesterday.
