    1. Did you say food is costly in the market?
    2. Are you complaining?
    3. Does it shocks you??
    4. Ho! You wish Rice is still #3000/Congo.
    5. Garri still #1500/Congo.
    6. You want to buy as low as #200
    7. ATA rodo, #500/lanbebe
    8. Elubo #700/Congo
    9. Tomatoes cheap
    10. Fish and meat cheaply in the market..

    _*Yet*_

    1. You see everyone practicing farming as a poor people.
    2. You go to church 5times a week and your work place everyday.
    3. Your compound is too neat for planting.you concrete all your compound not evening a flower or tree is planted.
    4. You hardly rear chicken, rabbit, cat fish, goat or even snail.
    5. Ordinary ewedu plantation you can not make in your compound yet you are complaining.
    6. You are too big to plant 2% of what you eat in a whole year
    7. You only pray to have a white collar Job. Looking at the poor to plant what you will eat.
    8. You are fighting for minimum wage and expecting the Farmer to sell his Own product cheaply.
    9. You send your own children to university and expect a farmer not to send theirs.
    10. What was planted last year was what we are eating now.
If you don't plant this year there will be nothing to eat next year, or we experience INFLATION at its peak.

That you live in the Town and a well developed area is not a barrier as a matter of fact, planting what you don't eat is still not a sin. You can do that to add to your income.

Nigeria is blessed with a fertile land, there is absolutely nothing planted in Nigeria that will not grow.

    My suggestion:-
1.Let the government (legislature) make a law that every household should grow at least 10% of what they eat.i.e everyone should grow 10% of their food.
    2. Government should make provision for buying in bulk from the farmers and resell to the public. This way the farmers will get More money and be encouraged.
    3. The public and family of the farmers should not see them and their work as work meant for the less privileged.but rather be encouraged to do more.
    4. If nothing is done regarding planting this year and time the increase and high cost of living experience this year is going to be a tip of the iceberg.

    My submission is
