ADDICTION is Bad!!!
When one is addicted, they can do anything atall to get that thing they want! These Items were removed from the GI tract (gastrointestinal tract)of an Opiate Addict (This patient was addicted to pain medication
).
He deliberately swallowed these instruments so he could be brought to the hospital
and be given some Morphines (a type of Pain medication
).
So, a surgery was done to remove the instruments as seen above 👆🏻 (scissors, razor, nail clipper etc)
This case is not rare
a lot of patients who are addicted to drugs do this just so they can get a dose of that medication.
When you use drugs a lot, overtime you will notice your body growing resistance to the medication
and you think taking more of it will do the work… that’s you getting ADDICTED.
This wasn’t the first time this patient swallowed an object, the first time he swallowed a full set of tiles
yes! He broke the tiles into smaller portions and swallowed it. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
