Never tell that person the qualities you need in a partner. learnt this recently. Ladies would say "I like a man that is caring, God fearing, responsible, does not smoke/drink... A guy would tell you'" like a lady that is hardworking, neat, has a good dress sense, prayerful, and so on.. When you tell the person the qualities you need in your partner, they could possibly act according to the script you gave them. Oh yes!!! They will act the script till they pass the exams and get into your heart which could probably lead to marriage. Then in marriage, they bring out their real character, and then you will be surprised. That is why people get surprised when their partners do change after they have gotten into marriage. They didn't really change, they only brought out their real true self they've been hiding just to please you and earn a high mark to pass your exams.
