  • Would you believe it if I told you that the oranges in the picture are bad?
Yes as fresh as they look they're all bad.

Funny enough the orange seller knew they were bad and she sold them to me.

After buying foodstuffs in the market, I headed to the fruit seller to get some fruits with a bag I was carrying in one hand. I got water melon and when I wanted to leave I sighted oranges in a wheel barrow looking as though they were fresh. I was like okay let me get oranges too. The wheel barrow wasn't that close so I was like "aunty are you the one that has the oranges in the wheel barrow?" She said yes. Alright how do you sell I asked, she didn't reply me, she just headed towards the wheel barrow to get the oranges with my balance of #200 in her hand.

Immediately she got to the wheel barrow she collected four oranges that were looking fresh and signaled me to open my bag without giving me the opportunity to touch the oranges.
I immediately opened my bag and she put the oranges and said it's #200 just my exact balance and with that I didn't need to waste time or to try touching the oranges.

On getting home I opened my bag and brought out the oranges first since it was the last thing I bought. Omo! I was shocked when I touched the oranges. Three were as hard as stone and one big one was as soft as bread plus that accompanying smell of bad oranges.

In my mind I was like so someone can be this wicked to sell bad fruits to someone because I am hundred percent sure she knew that the oranges were bad and hence the reason she didn't give me the opportunity to touch them. She already scripted it in her mind how she would sell them.

I said okay nah let me just manage the water melon so I licked half and saw life fly inside. Omo! I weak kpamkpam, life fly inside water melon that was tied in nylon and I said to myself "who knows how long she left the water melon open before wrapping up in a nylon. It was at that juncture that I packed everything and threw them into the dustbin.

I am done, nothing in this life will ever make me buy fruits from her but I won't hesitate to thank her immensely for selling bad oranges to me when next I go to that market.

Country hard but e never reach for people to spoil their market by themselves.
Treating a customer badly or knowingly selling bad products to just one customer can cost you ten other customers. Yes, she will tell her friends to stop buying from you and her friends will tell their friends to stop buying from you and that is how it will keep going and you will lose almost all your customers.

Don't sell to people what you yourself wouldn't buy for any reason.
