  • FIRST LADY, SENATOR OLUREMI TINUBU REFUTES ORGANISING NATIONAL PRAYER EVENT

    The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu says she is not organizing a National Prayer and that the news making rounds in some conventional and social media platforms are unfounded and misleading.
    This is contained in a statement by Busola Kukoyi, SSA Media to the First Lady of Nigeria.
    It notes the public should disregard such report of the joint National Prayer for Nigeria.

    The statement adds that whilst the First Lady, a Christian and strong advocate of prayer, and praying for Nigeria believes that prayer is an act that must be done willingly, conscientiously and correctly. She also believes that praying for Nigeria is the responsibility of every Nigerian, irrespective of religious belief, political affiliation, tribe or tongue.

    It advises members of the public to always verify the authenticity of any news or event involving the First Lady of Nigeria or her Office through the Official channels.

  • Troops eliminate 239 terrorists, arrest 641, rescue 181 victims - DHQ The defence headquarters says troops have intensified offensive operations against terrorists across the country. Synchronized air strikes by the air and ground forces dislodged terrorists from their enclaves, killing several of them. A statement by the director defence media operations, major general Edward Buba states that on 6th november 2024, the air component of operation Hadin kai, conducted targeted air strikes on terrorists, located at kwallaram and arainna ciki islands in borno state. The strikes eliminated more than 70 extremists members at kwallaram and several others killed at Arainna Ciki. Similarly,during within the week under review, troops neutralised 169 terrorists, arrested 641, arrested 40 while 181 kidnapped victims were rescued . The defence headquarters stressed that ongoing operations severely depleted the ranks and files of terrorists and assured troops determination to sustain the attacks to eliminate all threats.
