Selina pressed Anastasia's forehead with a wet towel wiping off clustered bloods from her forehead and other parts of her body

Anastasia opened her eyes, she looked at Selina and shut them immediately

It's high time you leave this house Anastasia... Selina murmured but she didn't respond

The door opened and Emily walked in majestically, she collected Anastasia's phone and walked out

You allowed her go away with my phone? Anastasia asked

This isn't my house.. replied Selina

Anastasia struggled to get up, she removed the towel from her forehead and followed Emily

You will fall oh.. Selina told her

Anastasia stumbled but refused to give up. She was determined to get her phone back and confront Emily about her betrayal. She pushed past Selina and out of the house, her eyes fixed on Emily's retreating figure.

"Emily, stop! Give me back my phone!" Anastasia called out, her voice weak but determined.

Emily turned, a sly smile spreading across her face. "Oh, Anastasia. You're so weak. You can't even protect yourself, let alone your phone."

Anastasia's anger surged, giving her the strength to keep going. She stumbled forward, her eyes blazing with determination. "Give. Me. Back. My. Phone."

Emily laughed, holding the phone just out of reach. "You'll have to do better than that, Anastasia. You'll have to prove yourself worthy."

I have had enough of your stupidity in this house Emily and I think I better involve the police immediately...

Emily sneered "very soon you will be pushed out of this house because you don't have the documents of this building anymore "

Anastasia moved closer to her and held her by the neck, Emily struggled to free herself from her grip but it was really beyond her

Get your hands off my neck.. she coughed

Anastasia collected her phone from her and pushed her with all her strength

Emily crashed to the ground, stunned and gasping for breath. Anastasia stood over her, phone clutched in her hand, her eyes blazing

  • The littlest queen
    Chapter 33

I watched my daughter as she stood there with tears in her eyes. It brought pa in to my heart to see her like that. She ran out of the room choking in her own tears. Zara and Sophia looked at each other for a few seconds before running after her. The whole room was quiet, everyone was looking at us at this entire situation. Where they confused or astonished, it was hard toe tell. I told the maids to try and defuse the situation by keeping the guests busy and followed my children.

The twins were standing infront of Atara's bedroom, knocking on the door several times.

"Mother she locked herself in het room" said Zara

"She doesn't want ot talk to us or let us in" said Sophia

I gently knocked in the door hoping that maybe she'd open the door.

    "Go away" shouted Atara

"Tara, sweetheart open the door" I said

"No, go away" she responded "you lied to me"

"Hunny, let me in so I can tell you everything" I said

She was quiet and didn't respond for two minutes. I was starting to get worried but she slowly opened the door and quickly shutted it. She still had tears in her tears which were now red and puffy from all the crying. I hugged het tightly as I sat next to her in the bed.

"Are you not my real mommy" she asked

"Biologically...no but I loved and raised you since you where born so I am your mother" I responded

"But you are not my blood mother so I'm not your real daughter" She said

"That's nog true of course you are my daughter, my youngest baby girl" I said

"I want to know the truth, who is my real mommy" she asked

As much as I didn't want to talk about it, I had no choice but to tell her the entire truth. I could see that she was deeply hurt. She wiped het tears and said that she wanted to sleep. I wanted to make her understand that we don't need a blood relation for me to be her mother but I respected her wish and quietly left the room.

We had to end the party earlier than planned for two reasons, firstly because the girls were no longer in a spirit to celebrate their birthday and secondly because people where starting toe asked a lot of unnecessary questions. The whole situation was infuriating.

Atara mainly kept to herself. She didn't want to eat with us or to spent time with anyome in general. She was always alone in her room and didn't want anyone to see her for about a week. Her behaviour towards us changed drastically. She started talking to us formaly and she distances herself not only toe is but to het siblings as well. She even went as for as curtsying to them.

If she wasn't in her room, she was at the garden. Flowers have always been het favourite thing. She loved plant them and tending to them. Zara and Sophia tried talking to her as much as I did but even their efforts where left in vain. She was no longer the same young girl she was before.

Guys, I'm really sorry for the late update, I cant wait for this year to bê over because it's been the worst year of my life. Mine and my best friends phones where stolen while we were at a cafe after our classes a week ago, they were in her bag but we don't know who stole them and how. I thank God for my mom she just bought me a new one yesterday.

    Episode Five

"Mazi Ibe, you can not harm me so please, step aside let me continue on my journey. I did nothing to you. "
    The boy said boldly.

"You have some guts, young man. Let's see what that thing that is giving you so much confidence, is. "
Mazi Ibe said, and brought out his evil ring from the bag.

However, before he could stretch it at the boy, the River goddess appeared.

"Mazi Ibe, you are very lucky I am in my good mood today. You would have felt the wrath of my anger.

Now I command you, run away from here and never try to harm this poor boy again or else you will have me to contend with."
The River goddess said with authority.

"I am so sorry, beautiful goddess of defence, I won't touch the boy again. "
Mazi Ibe said and took to his heels. He ran and never looked back.

Some villagers saw him running and wondered what was after him.

"See how he is running like a young man. Later now he will carry walking stick around like somebody that can not walk properly. "
    A maiden said.

When Mazi Ibe got to his hut, he was very surprised at what happened earlier.

"How was that boy able to summon the River goddess? That sea woman that does not have mercy. I will not try to harm him again. "
    Mazi Ibe said to himself.

He was still lost in thought when he heard an aggressive knock on his door. At first, he got scared, thinking it was the youth that had finally come to attack him but when he peeped from his window, it was a young maiden.

"What do I owe you, young woman? "
Mazi Ibe asked as he opened the bamboo door for the maiden. What he heard next, shocked him.

"You this evil man. Have you forgotten that you bought fish from me and refused to pay? I have come to collect the money and I am not leaving here until you give me that money. "
    The maiden said boldly.

"Do you know you just insulted me? What gave you the boldness to do that. "
    Mazi Ibe asked, puzzled.

"Why won't I have the boldness. Are you the gods of this village that one can not talk to you? For your information, nobody is afraid of you anymore after knowing that the youths of this village are going to burn you alive. "
    The maiden said.

"Oh, that's very thoughtful of you. Thank you for telling me about the plan going on against me. You are going to be punished for insulting me. "
Mazi Ibe said as he pointed his ring at the maiden and she lost her mind.

Mazi Ibe ordered her to enter inside and she obeyed without a word of resistance. She was severely used by Mazi Ibe and she cried out in pain.

After Mazi Ibe was fully satisfied, he ordered her to run home and never look back.

As soon as the maiden got into her father's compound, she became conscious but she couldn't remember what happened to her.

People that saw her enter into Mazi Ibe's compound were the ones who told her parents what happened.

Her father particularly blamed her for making such a silly movement without informing them.

"Why did you go and spew insults to his face when you knew how evil he was. I hope you learn from this.

Wisdom is patient and it does not act on impulse. You don't just confront men like that, based on how you feel. "
    Her father said, angrily.

Few days after the maiden was forcefully used by Mazi Ibe, she died in her sleep and the news spread like wildfire in the entire kingdom.

"She ended her own life. We were all talking about how evil Mazi Ibe is and how the youths are planning to destroy him. Nobody told her to go and confront him in that way. "
A maiden said, as they began to talk about what happened.

"I am so sorry for her. I don't know why some people can not control their emotions. This is so sad. "
    Another maiden said.

"I even heard that he used her roughly before implanting in her an evil seed that eventually took her life. "
    The third maiden said.

"May the gods protect us in this kingdom o, that's my own. "
    The first maiden said.

"Even as the gods are protecting us, let's learn to be wise so that his protection can work for us. "
    The third maiden responded.

    "Ise! "
    They all chorused.

They were still talking when some villagers began to run pass them.

    "What is going on? "
One of them asked a woman that wanted to run pass them.

"The worst has happened. You people should gather your family members and run. This land is in chaos right now! "
    She said and hurriedly left.

    "Let's go and see what's happening. "
One of the maiden said to the rest and they all began to run.
