But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;

While biblical narratives serve as powerful guides, they alone cannot save us. Many modern pastors, in their pursuit to lead us toward salvation, often encourage us to accept every literal interpretation of these sacred texts. However, this approach overlooks a deeper truth embedded in the very teachings they proclaim.

The Master Jesus, whose wisdom transcends time, did not mortgage our souls solely to the words of scripture. Instead, He promised us something far more profound: the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. He referred to the Holy Spirit as the Comforter, who would guide us into all truth. This promise signals that our spiritual journey is not confined to the literal interpretation of written words but is sustained by the living Spirit of God.
