The Orphan in Love
Episode 1️⃣
It was a hot afternoon when Madam Ezinne was returning from a business trip. As her car drove along the dusty road, she saw a figure lying by the roadside. "Stop the car!" she shouted to her driver.
The driver stopped, and Madam Ezinne quickly got out. She walked closer and saw it was a young girl, dirty and bruised, lying unconscious. Her clothes were torn, and she looked very weak. Madam Ezinne felt pity but also a bit of worry. She had heard stories of traps and dangers on these roads. What if this girl was part of a trick?
But as she looked at the girl's face, her heart softened. "We can’t just leave her here," she said. The driver helped lift the girl into the car, and they hurried home.
At Madam Ezinne’s big house, the servants rushed to help. They carried the girl to a guest room and called the doctor. The doctor said the girl needed rest and care. Madam Ezinne watched as they cleaned the girl and bandaged her wounds. “Who is she?” she wondered aloud.
That evening, Madam Ezinne couldn’t stop thinking about the girl. She looked so fragile, so alone. Madam Ezinne thought about her own son, Chike, who was around the same age. She couldn’t imagine him being in such a situation. She decided to take care of the girl until she got better. But deep inside, she was worried. She didn’t know anything about this girl. What if she brought trouble?
The next morning, Ada woke up in a large, soft bed. She blinked, confused by her surroundings. The room was big and bright, with beautiful curtains and expensive furniture. For a moment, she didn’t remember where she was or what had happened. She tried to sit up, but her body was too weak. Memories slowly came back. She remembered walking, feeling tired, then everything going black.
A kind-faced maid entered the room. "You’re awake!" she said, smiling. "Don’t worry, you’re safe here. Madam Ezinne found you and brought you home."
Ada felt a mix of relief and fear. Who was Madam Ezinne? Why had she helped her? What would happen next? As she lay back down, questions filled her mind. She knew she was safe for now, but her future was still a mystery.
Meanwhile, Madam Ezinne sat in her study, thinking about the girl she had brought home. She knew her decision could change everything, but she couldn’t turn her back on someone in need. She would watch over the girl and see what happened next.
