Some of President Bola Tinubu’s ministers and aides have been accused of sharing over N54 billion from the N120 billion forfeited to the Federal Government by Aminu Yaro and his wife, Saadatu Yaro. The Yaros, who were associates of former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele, reportedly agreed to forfeit the funds as part of a plea bargain with the EFCC to drop pending criminal charges against them.

A 40-year-old Nigerian man, Yomi Jones Olayeye, also known as “Sabbie,” was arrested on August 13, 2024, upon his arrival at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. Olayeye faces multiple charges related to a scheme in which he, along with others, allegedly conspired to fraudulently obtain at least $10 million in COVID-19 unemployment benefits. Olayeye has been charged with one count of wire fraud conspiracy, one count of wire fraud, and one count of aggravated identity theft.

This is a fairly spacious and well-maintained private hospital without power supply for hours. No ‘Disco or Afrobeat or Fuji public electricity supply’. No diesel/petrol to power the wards where patients sweat like Christmas goats. I guess there was no diesel/petrol available easily or they are being careful of their budget so as not to increase their service charge again and again. They are relying on solar power to support the power supply which was put on after 7pm before I left there.
