™ I already dressed half way this morning.. Wearing only a white plain trouser and a singlet, and then decided to brush my teeth before I put on my shirt and comot. I was brushing when my neighbour papa Junior passed going to work, I greeted him and then the toothpaste bubbles in my mouth accidentally split out and stained my trouser and singlet I was wearing.. The thing come vex me, After brushing, I turned and saw his wife, mama Junior washing clothes in the compound, she was on wrapper, singing one gospel song and dancing while doing her washing, I then greeted her and... Anyway, lemme skip what happened.... ..... As I came home this evening, I was about opening my door when I saw her husband rushing toward me, fuming in anger "Flovictor!! How dare you! You have no fear, you foolish guy" he was saying approaching toward me, Me na I was wondering what he's talking about, before I know, this man rushed and grabbed me oo... "Aiiiiyieeeoooo, Papa Junior what is this naa, wetin I do?" I asked "How dare you sleep with my wife" 😳😳😳"Sleep with your wife kwa? Oga how do you mean?" I asked, so confused. "No even try deny am, you shameless guy... You wey be newest tenant, So this is what you've been doing, I catch you this time, I must call police" It wasn't a small commotion oo, Papa Junior accusing me of sleeping with his wife, the neighbours gathered to settle the matter, they come ask me whether I do such and I ask them if young girls don finish for the compound wey I go go sleep with person wife? Now dem come ask papa Junior how he take know sey I sleep with him wife and the man said he has a clear evidence, he went to his house and brought out my my trouser and my singlet, the ones I was wearing morning and then he stated "For morning before I comot go work, na only Flovictor and my wife dey compound, my wife was washing clothes and Flovictor he dey for compound dey brush, I come comot" "Eheeee... Continue" the neighbours chorused. He continued... "As I come back this afternoon, I saw this trouser and a singlet inside my house, I ask my Children whose clothes was that and they said it's Flovictor's clothes, I asked them what it's doing in my house and they said they came home from school and found it on top our bedsheet, now tell me what Flovictor's clothes are doing on top of my bed while I'm not at home" "Heehh??!!! Flovictor is that true? What do you have to say about this??" one of the neighbours inquired. Me I don weak 🤦🏾‍♂️ how I go take explain the matter, Children can really complicate matters.. All the neighbours started... Even the young girls in the compound started condemning me, they said they can't believe I can do such a thing, "Person's wife?? Can you imagine! Flovictor nawa oo" I know even you too reading this story right now believed I did what papa Junior is accusing me of... But no be so... I dey go Church, I no fit do that kain thing This is what happened: I told you my clothes got stained while brushing in the morning... when I turned and saw mama Junior, I greeted her and we exchanged greetings. I went inside and pulled my stained trouser and singlet and washed them, after washing I went to the drying line and saw there's no space again, mama Junior has already spread clothes and bedsheet all over the rope and and there are no more space to hang mine , I asked her if she can make little space for me to spread mine and she told me she can't, that I should just spread my clothes on top of her bedsheet which she washed and hanged on the drying line, that since it's just a white plain trouser and singlet that they will quick dry and when her children come back from school and start packing their clothes, they will help me and pack them as well. That was what happened, This children didn't explain to their father well that it was on the drying line that they saw my clothes hanging on top the bedsheet. I was teaching my neighbour's children maths this evening when Obinna came and pulled me one side. He told me he wanted me to accompany him to go and collect money from his uncle, that this his uncle is owning him 10k, Me I told him I am busy that I'm teaching my neighbor's kids maths. "Which kain maths? The one wey you know abi the one wey you no know? you Flovictor wey no sabi anything when we dey school, you better stop deceiving innocent children" he said. I got offended and asked him to leave since sey na insult he come to my house to insult me but he told me he no mean am like that, that he really need my help. I made him understand that I'm teaching these children maths so that their mother's food go sure for me, anytime I teach them, their mother will bring food for me as an appreciation and that woman sabi cook well well, that me I can't miss that chance oo. "See Flovictor, forget that your neighbor and her food, if you accompany me go collect this money, I will give you 3k from it" Immediately I heard 3k, I didn't waste time to tell him let's go.. I folded the exercise book in my hand into my pocket and we left, I even took the lead without knowing where we are going.. Just imagine how 3k made me turn He took me to the uncle's the place, and I neva go that side before, the house was rounded with tall gate and fences, As were about to go in he told me to I should go alone and pretend the money was mine... "Why??" I asked. Which he replied that it will make the uncle give provide the money quickly, believing that he borrowed the money from me and to give him and I'm on his neck to pay me back my money. I became suspicious as I sensed he is scared of going to collect the money, but before I could talk he then convinced me that if I get the money, he instead of giving me 3k he will now give me 5k and take 5k that is sharing it 50 50... Heating this, I agreed... I entered the gate, I come carry the matter for head like say na me the man dey owe true true, "who dey here!!!... Who dey for this house???, come out... I'm here to collect my money" I was shouting and knocking when one hefty man came out, "Hey you! , who are you and what are you doing here? Which money were you shouting that you want to collect?" Boom! Fear grip me, I look I no see Obinna for gate again, If una see this man, his muscles are so big that you might think he trained Anthony Joshua the boxer, you won't doubt it if someone tells you he is a ten times heavy weight wrestling champion. Looking at this man only a slap from him can land me in coma, that's when I knew what Obinna's fear was all about, he was scared to ask this man for his money and he brought me here for him to killl me, but my God pass am. I quickly brought out the exercise book I put in my pocket earlier and told him I am here to collect Akawo money, that I'm collecting daily contributions from people and I came to see if they will start their daily contributions with me. He hissed and told me he has no interest in daily contributions, that he keeps all his money by himself, I said okay say and turned walking toward the gate, hoping he doesn't chase me, as I walked out of the gate I saw Obinna hiding nearby, "Flovictor did you collect it?" I just looked at him, shook my head and ignored him, I realized that sometimes when your village people want to set you up, they will use your friend. I now considers him as agent of my village people.. Because of him I miss food wey I been dey hope on, now the 3k I no see, 5k I no see, my neighbour's food I no chop. But at least I have testimony. Here’s a brief story about myself that might motivate someone today and other aspiring writers out there. Back in high school, I hardly pass Literature In English, yeah I’m always either on average or below average. Even as a social prefect then, I don’t attend lectures when it comes to Lit-in-English, I just follow my guys to the school jungle. A place we refer to as (School 2). Infact throughout my high school year, I’d never purchased any literature story book recommended in before, I just sit in class and listen to other students while they read. And when it’s time for exam, I follow my usual way of answering the questions and as usual, it’s either 45/100 or 38/100, the mark is always below 50. Let me just say this straight, I hate literature with passion and I hate reading storybooks or novels, because I have this mentality that “reading a book that has tiny texts is always stressful to read” so for that reason, I don’t even pickup any, talk more of reading 📖. PURPLE HIBISCUS was a popular story then and this book 📕 is so volumous 😳. The book I hated the most was the one recommended while I was in SS3, “CASTLE OF OTRANTO”, ahh! This novel looks like King James Version Bible, merely looking at it I will just decide to miss class for that period. The only jamb novel I read was (SWEET SIXTEEN) and this is because the novel looks less voluminous and easy to read. You see this other one called (INDEPENDENCE), i just read half and only God knows how I passed that exam 😆. Then i decided to start creating contents on Facebook but I don’t really know what to start with or what to create. First of all I started with comedy and yeah I’m a comedian, this was around 2018-2019. I will be starting my comedy content on TikTok today. I will drop the link soon Around 2021, I noticed a lady’s page then (Ruthie Lee stories), then I switched my content creation idea from comedy to stories because I noticed how she had massive engagements on her stories then. I started photocopying her stories directly from her page to my former account which was my first account where I post stories before creating a backup account which is this current one, so if you are not following my first account, you can do that now I will be dropping stories there one of these days. Then I started getting followers and was actually getting kudos from people. “Paul you are one of the best writers I’ve ever met here on facebook” “Paul you are so talented”. But deep down I wished I was actually the owner or writer of the stories I do post. It was late 2022 I decided myself that I must create something myself, I must write my own story. It was also that period I discovered my unique writing skills. I called it Unique because, I noticed I can create a full storyline by only seeing a picture and through the picture, I form stories in my head and penned them down. And that’s how I do write my stories till today. Mostly horrors. You know what I use to do most times? I just go online and search for most scary horror pictures, then i download the one I best see fit that I can create and plot a horror story on. Then I publish… I started with just 1.8k followers and now I have over 120k followers, I achieved this milestone in span of 1 year. One of the writer that motivated me is (Desmond Ben) He’s capable of twisting your head with his story. (Victor Firdance ) also motivated me in this writing journey. If I had more interest in literature back in high school, who knows I might’ve been a well known writer on media space today but atleast I discovered something earlier. I will be diversifying my story lines now which means, I won’t be writing only horror stories again. Other story lines I will be writing is Zombie Apocalypse, Werewolf, Action in addition with horror. Title of stories I’m currently working on: 1. CHAOS OF RACES (African+American Zombie Apocalypse) 2. THE BLOODLINE’S CURSE (Action + Horror) 3. WEREWOLF SYSTEM (Cybernetic+Horror+Action) Etc… This is just to motivate other potential writers, you don’t need to have the talent before you know how to write, you can just try to see what best works for you and implement it.
