God wants to be believed, and what a man of prayer that exercises his spirit should do is to believe the word of God and that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. In getting answers to prayers, you have to discipline your mind to move in alignment with your spirit because God inspires your spirit, but you receive understanding in your heart. As God inspires your spirit, He also wants your mind to come under the influence of the inspiration so that your heart can be flooded with light from the throne of God. You don't pray to summon God, but what you are doing whenever you pray is to wait on the Lord. It's while waiting on the Lord that your anxiety and the sense of haste that darkness has stirred up in your soul will leave. Remove your attention and expectations from people and rather focus on Jesus. It's true that people are to be looked up to but don't totally depend on them because they can disappoint at any time. Jesus is the only one that never disappoints and he never fails. He is our number one perfect being and we're all looking up to him to get perfection as well. This morning, someone had a high expectation concerning something so he was telling me his expectations but it was the reverse and we were giving out possible reasons why it was like that but God knows the best answer.
