  • During Iftar, it is recommended to recite the following dua before breaking the fast:

اللهم لك صمت وعلى رزقك أفطرت
Allahumma laka sumtu wa ‘ala rizqika aftartu.
"O Allah, for You I have fasted, and with Your provisions, I break my fast."

    Another common dua is:

ذهب الظمأ وابتلت العروق وثبت الأجر إن شاء الله
Dhahaba al-zama’ wabtallat al-‘urooq wa thabata al-ajr in sha’ Allah.
"The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills."

It's also a blessed time to make personal supplications, as the Prophet (ﷺ) said that the dua of a fasting person at Iftar is not rejected.
