I watched a video on ustadh Sanusi Lafiagi 's wall the other day about the story of a woman who fought with her husband for refusing to take another wife. Stories like this sound weird to me. If it does happen to me, and I am one million percent sure it can't, I will just start laughing and fall off the couch at first, watching all the you know, tantrums as she goes
"What kind of a man are you that has refused to marry another woman to join me..."

I will probably say "Allāhu akbar" somewhere and look for one new kunya from the female companions and give you on the spot. If however it shows you are serious about the fight, I will just hiss and walk away.. Encouraging your man to take another wife is a rarity and deeply appreciated, but quarelling with him over it is just overstepping your boundaries.

Look, don't let anyone guilt trip you over this whole polygyny thing huh. Your feeling of dislike and jealousy are valid and expected, just as loving it is not a measure of your piety, else even the wives of the Rasul failed at it. So don't overdo the thing, and if I could advice any woman, I would say don't go suggesting polygyny to your husband. Let him do his thing when/if he feels it is right when he finds whoever he thinks is right, so you don't come biting your fingers later. Even if you really feel up to it, let it stop at encouraging him. Fighting him over it, will be for me, just ridiculous.
