Few years ago I asked a lady out for a lunch date through Facebook, She said she was going to bring her friend along since it was our first meeting.

Abike and I have been chatting for a while now, so it was only nice i got to know her better. And I had already started catching feelings online

So on the day for the date, I got prepared for it.

I wore my best suit. I needed to Impress her. When I got to the restaurant which she choosed I was shocked; because it looked expensive.

They have already ordered for two bottles of wine. One for her and her friend and one for me.

I wanted leaving because I could not afford the wine. But Abike told me to calm down, that this was her treat since she is the one that choosed the restaurant.

I was impressed but again uncomfortable, was this a set up? Many thoughts ran through my mind.

During the lunch date we ate and drank. We had fun.

Everything went perfectly. After the lunch I followed them to the Uber that took them home.

That afternoon became my happiest moment. She just paid for our food and she didn't even ask me for Transport fare back home. 100% wife material i screamed out as uber drove off.

So I went to my friends house to tell him about my date experience. I met him laying on the bed. And immediately i woke him up. Jide guy. I have found the one. I told Jide. Guy what's the problem? Jide asked me still waking up from sleep.

Bro I went to that restaurant, Abike brought plus one as I told you. We ate, we drank and she paid for it. She didn't ask me for a dime. I said excited. You took a girl out on your first date and she paid? She didn't ask you to pay? Jide asked me. Yes na. To shock you even more as they were going, she ordered uber. I said. I know it. So you paid for the uber? Jide asked me. Oga allow me finish first. She ordered uber and she paid for it. I didn't pay. Guy I am calling this girl now to ask her to be my girlfriend. Like guy i have found the one. I said.

Immediately my phone started ringing. It was Abike calling. Hello sweetheart Am in your house now. Where are you? Abike asked me over the phone. My friends house. What are you doing in my house? I asked confused. Come on babe. I just moved in. Please can you come home? The sun is too hot. Abike said. Guy what's going on? Jide asked me, I mute the call. Guy its Abike my Facebook date. She is in my house with her belongings. Omo bro you are a married man like this o. Jide said. I unmute the call. Abike are you joking with me? I asked Her over the phone. Babe na. Abike said.

I had to hurriedly leave Jide's house and went to my own house. Behold I saw Abike sitting on my corridor with her bags and other stuffs.

I blinked my eye to be sure of what I was seeing. I didn't remember asking her to be my girlfriend why this drama. What are you doing here? I asked Abike. Is that how you welcome your wife to be? Abike asked me smiling.

Anyways I came for us to prepare for our wedding. Abike said as she left out an evil smile.

From there i knew there was problem.

  • Yesterday, I flagged off the construction of two major road projects: the 10.9km Use Ikot Amama Road with two bridges in Ibiono Ibom and the 21.5km Ikot Anyan Ediene Road with a 60m span bridge in Ikono. These roads will improve connectivity, boost economic activities, and enhance transportation in our state. I have tasked Setraco Limited with delivering a high-quality project that meets the best standards.

Road infrastructure is a key driver of development, and we remain committed to linking every part of Akwa Ibom with a solid road network. I appreciate the support of Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio and the people of Ibiono Ibom and Ikono for believing in our administration. Our investment in infrastructure and agribusiness is for the people, and we will continue to implement projects that improve lives.

I also commend the youths for their cooperation with contractors and encourage them to protect public infrastructure for the benefit of all. Development must reach every community, and I assure you that we will extend street lighting projects beyond Uyo to brighten and secure more areas. Together, let’s build a greater Akwa Ibom! @

  • Former Nigeria Coach Bonfrère Jo After Super Eagles draw against Zimbabwe: “How do you expect to qualify for the World Cup if you don’t win games?” he questioned.

He continued, “In the past, if we didn’t beat Zimbabwe 3-0 or 4-0, the fans would throw stones at us.

“With the huge number of Super Eagles players in top European leagues, a 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe is unacceptable. I don’t see how they can qualify for the World Cup, except maybe through the play-offs.

“If that happens, good. But it’s embarrassing that the Super Eagles are struggling against teams they should be beating convincingly.”

When asked what could be have gone wrong in game:

He said, “I didn’t watch the match, but did the coach not have enough information on Zimbabwe? Did he use the wrong tactics? Or did the players fail to execute the game plan?

“Was it a loss of concentration? Why couldn’t the attackers score more goals? If they had put away two or three chances, Zimbabwe’s late goal wouldn’t have mattered as much.

“It’s sad, painful, and unfortunate. Small teams are now looking the Super Eagles in the eye and asking, ‘What can you do?’ No team fears them anymore, and that is worrying,” Bonfrère Jo lamented.

  • You invited me to an event and added me to your WhatsApp committee group.

Despite my limited resources, I made a contribution.

On the day of the event, I spent a significant amount on transportation, due to the hike in transportation fees.

I arrived early to secure a front-row seat because I wanted to ensure you noticed my attendance and registered it in your memory.

Everything was going pretty well until it got to the part of refreshments.

I was excited because I knew I would be served first, since I was seated in the front row.

But the caterer thought it wise to start serving drinks from the back, and by the time they got to me, the drinks were finished, leaving me with no choice but to settle for sachet water.

A few minutes later, a cooler of rice was brought to our canopy, and I already knew their sharing technique, so I had anticipated it.

Swiftly, I changed seats and stylishly relocated to the back row.

But what did the caterer do this time? They started from the front row and began sharing the food.

Before they got to my seat, the food was finished, and once again, I was left with just a toothpick.

And now, here you are standing beside me, asking me to smile while posing for the camera.

    If I smile make bend.
