  • As part of my commitment to encouraging a conducive learning environment and quality education of our people, I commissioned and handed over an academic block, which I built, to Maurid College of Nursing Science, Mbiaso, Nsit Ibom local government area, during its maiden matriculation ceremony of 300 students, where I served as chairman on the occasion, yesterday.

I also promised to install solar-powered lightings around the institution's premises to ensure security of the students and property at night.

I used the opportunity to charge the prospective healthcare professionals to focus on their studies, so that upon graduation, they will fill the manpower gap created in the health sector by migration of other professionals for greener pastures.

Part of my address to them reads; "Your journey to becoming healthcare professionals is a call to service and humanity. This is further buttressed in the popular maxim that "health is wealth." This is in line with Harvey S. Firestone's philosophy that "the growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership."

"This quote has consistently guided my life and activities both in private and public service. It is the propelling force behind my mega empowerment, scholarship, bursary, skill acquisition, facilitation of jobs in strategic Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and foreign trainings to Akwa Ibom people."

"Also, the newly completed edifice, which shall be commissioned and donated to the institution today, is my modest effort to encourage this massive investment and, most especially, to ensure you get a conducive learning environment."

"These efforts are aimed at raising Akwa Ibom men and women who are stable enough to compete favourably with their counterparts globally."

Worthy of commendation is the Chairman of Maurid Group of Schools, Dr. Godwin Umontuen, for his foresight and investment in education, and for being a true patriot who cares about the development of the state and country.

His massive investment is interwoven with love and patriotism for the country at the centre. It is selfless, with clear intention to train and equip health professionals needed to provide healthcare services for mankind.

  • The love of money, often referred to as "greed" or "avarice," is an intense desire to accumulate wealth and material possessions. This can lead to an obsession with financial gain, sometimes at the expense of ethics or relationships. People who have an overwhelming love of money might prioritize it over other values such as love, integrity, or social well-being.

In many cultures, the love of money is seen as a potential negative trait, as it can lead to selfish behavior and a lack of empathy for others. However, some also view financial ambition as a motivating force for personal achievement and success, as long as it doesn't harm others.

The concept is often explored in literature, philosophy, and religion, with warnings against excessive attachment to wealth, such as the biblical saying, "For the love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Timothy 6:10).

What are your thoughts on the idea of money and its role in people's lives?

  • 4. #MARRY_YOUR_SPENDING_MATE: Don't marry someone who is stingy. There are so many expenses to cater for in marriage. A stingy guy in courtship won't suddenly become a generous husband in marriage. Don't marry a lady that has the financial philosophy of ' My husband's money is our money, but my money is my money'. Marry someone who believes in dignity of labour , who is ready to work, not a lazy fellow who just want to be a consumer and not a contributor. Marry someone who is ready to spend and be spent for the growth and success of the family.

  • My philosophy is: It's none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier.

  • Tell your children the truth!

Tell them the truth! Santa doesn't exist! That satan is not black! Tell them that every race has its ancestors and also its equal (spiritual sphere)! Tell them our rites are not witchcraft!

Tell them it all began in Egypt (advanced civilization, science, math, philosophy, religion, architecture). Tell them the first Egyptians were black, nothing to do with Hollywood movies.

Tell them Christopher Columbus did not discover the Americas, that Mansa Mussa, the Malian, was the richest man in the world, that black Egyptians were the first to travel the world, that they discovered Europe, the Americas, Asia and Oceania!

Tell them it's in Egypt that the meter was invented from the measure of a drop of water, that pi (3,14) and the number of gold were invented in Egypt as well as many geometric theorems attributed to Pythagoras and Thales, yet Imotep, the greatest of scholars, remains unknown to history books!

Tell them that the Ancestor of Humanity was discovered in Africa, that many of the inventions of this world were made with the participation of black people who were never mentioned!

Tell them Africa had a handwriting before the first ships and missionaries arrived. Tell them that union alone can guarantee our survival and rehire us to the greatest, that concrete was invented in Egypt and not by the masons not at all frank!

Tell them that after arranging punitive expeditions to loot us from our artwork for Western museums with the key to thousands of deaths, they also vandalize our cultural heritage by breaking the noses of Egyptian statues so we don't recognize The wrecked nose of a Kemite, palpable proof that ancient Egypt was black!

Tell them to work not wait for the manna that will fall from heaven, it never fell! Tell them to believe our ancestors because they are the only ones who can intercede with the creator in our favor!

Tell them not to hate the other when they find out the truth of a falsified story but to forgive.
