  • Psalm 27 is a beautiful and powerful psalm. Here it is in the New King James Version (NKJV):

    Psalm 27

    1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
    Whom shall I fear?
    The Lord is the strength of my life;
    Of whom shall I be afraid?

    2 When the wicked came against me
    To eat up my flesh,
    My enemies and foes,
    They stumbled and fell.

    3 Though an army may encamp against me,
    My heart shall not fear;
    Though war may rise against me,
    In this I will be confident.

    4 One thing I have desired of the Lord,
    That will I seek:
    That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
    All the days of my life,
    To behold the beauty of the Lord,
    And to inquire in His temple.

    5 For in the time of trouble
    He shall hide me in His pavilion;
    In the secret place of His tabernacle
    He shall hide me;
    He shall set me high upon a rock.

    6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
    Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
    I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

    7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!
    Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

    8 When You said, “Seek My face,”
    My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”

    9 Do not hide Your face from me;
    Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
    You have been my help;
    Do not leave me nor forsake me,
    O God of my salvation.

    10 When my father and my mother forsake me,
    Then the Lord will take care of me.

    11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,
    And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.

    12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries;
    For false witnesses have risen against me,
    And such as breathe out violence.

    13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
    That I would see the goodness of the Lord
    In the land of the living.

    14 Wait on the Lord;
    Be of good courage,
    And He shall strengthen your heart;
    Wait, I say, on the Lord!

    *READ: 1 CORINTHIANS 1:25-29 (KJV)*

    25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

    26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

    27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

    28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

    29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

    *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: PHILIPPIANS 1-4*

    *MESSAGE:*
    *Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city*. - (Ecclesiastes 7:19)

    The Scripture above tells us that *a wise man can be stronger than ten mighty men put together*. Therefore, one can say that having wisdom is a very good thing.

    In (1 Corinthians 1:20), the Bible says:

    *Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?*

    From the Scripture above, we know that there is something called *‘the wisdom of this world’,* and that God *can turn this wisdom into foolishness*. However, the question is, what is the wisdom of this world?

    *The wisdom of this world is any kind of wisdom that is not of God. In other words, any kind of wisdom that does not agree with the word of God is the wisdom of this world*. It may seem good and also seem to yield temporary results, but if it is not of God, it will eventually become foolishness. In the same Scripture that was quoted above, the Bible tells us that *when the wisdom of this world was turned into foolishness, the wise men of the world were nowhere to be found*. They could no longer make a case for their kind of wisdom.

    Some people are boasting now, arguing that their kind of wisdom is the best because it appears to be yielding results for them, either in helping them to make money, or to get into positions of power and so on. However, because their wisdom is not based on the word of God, *a time is coming when they will hide their faces in shame because it will be made foolishness*.

    Beloved, *do not be moved by the methods and recommendations of men, even though they might seem very logical. If their recommendations are not based on what the word of God says, they are foolishness, and you should not partake of such*. The Lord has superior wisdom for you, and He said that you only need to ask in order to get it (James 1:5). When you begin to use His wisdom, you may seem foolish at first to the people who are using the wisdom of the world, but I tell you from experience, sooner or later, you will have excellent results. Better still, your results will endure, and you will keep on excelling, long after the so-called results of the people who relied on the wisdom of the world have been forgotten.

    *PRAYER POINT:*
    Father, please give me Your wisdom so I can live a fulfilled life.

    MIND YOUR LANGUAGE - PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

    For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith (Mark 11:23)
    ═══════════════
    You must learn to speak in alignment with God's Word, not with the language of fear or negativity that the world teaches. For example, instead of saying, "l'm afraid it's going to rain; simply say, "It's going to rain!" Don't talk fear!

    If you're searching for something and can't seem to find it, or you're trying to move something heavy, what should your response be? Never say, "I can't?" You see, that's what the world has dropped into the hearts of many that's so difficult to eradicate. But you're different. You're a child of God, and in our Kingdom, we talk differently. We speak faith, not fear, doubt, or unbelief.

    Using the expression, "I can't" reinforces a mindset of limitation. One might think it's just about a specific situation, like not being able to move something, but it's more than that. It's incongruous with your divine nature. Recall what Paul said: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 NKJV). In Christianity, we have the "I-can-do" mentality. It forms the basis for our communication.

    2 Corinthians 4:13 says, "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." We speak the Word. We speak in alignment with the divine realities of our heavenly Kingdom. Life is about what you say. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." So, mind your language; speak right. Speak truth; God's Word is truth (John 17:17).
