TOPIC: "TAKE YOUR PLACE IN CHRIST"

SATURDAY 22ND FEBRUARY 2025. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
    -------------------------------------------------
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses (Acts 13:38-39)

What we just read brings to mind what the Bible says in Romans 3:24, that we've been justified freely by grace through the redemption that's in Jesus Christ. Through Jesus Christ we've received remission of sins, the complete removal of sins, and by Him we've been justified from all things, from which we couldn't be justified by the Law of Moses.

That means we've been declared acquitted, free from all charges and accusations. Blessed be God! Jesus made it so. He took your place so that you might take His place. Taking your place in Christ is what Christianity is about. Take what He gave up for you; take the place He has given you your new place in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Take your place of righteousness and express the will and nature of the Father. 2 Corinthians 8:9 says, "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." This is your new place the place of wealth and abundance.

Also, read Ephesians 2:4-5 and see your place: "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)." You've been raised up together and made to sit together in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. This signifies a place of authority; you're recognized in the heavenly realm as a man or woman of dominion. Blessed be God!

    PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank You for the place You've given me in Christ-a place of glory, dominion, wealth, abundance and power. I walk in the consciousness of this reality, expressing Your will, nature and purpose as I reign and rule in life, exercising authority over circumstances, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

TOPIC: "INTIMACY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT"

THURSDAY 6TH FEBRUARY 2025. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
    -------------------------------------------------
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (2 Corinthians 13:14).

The foundational principles of developing a personal and intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit is through the Word of God and prayer. It's important to yield to Him through the Word and deepen your relationship with Him through prayer. Every relationship without communication dies, irrespective of what that relationship is, whether it's the relationship between parents and their children, spouses, co-workers, etc.

On the other hand, good communication nourishes and enhances relationships. If you're going to have a richer fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you need to commune effectively with Him in prayer. He's a person, and you've got to relate to Him as a person. Read our opening scripture again; it indicates the kind of relationship we're supposed to have with the Lord.

The Father is in heaven, and Jesus has gone to heaven; only the Holy Spirit is here with us. The God we know and relate to today is the Holy Spirit. He makes the presence of the Father and the presence of Jesus real to you. So, learn to talk to Him. That's why speaking in tongues is also vital. Speak in tongues often.

The Apostle Paul serves as a great example of a successful Christian and minister, and one of his secrets was fellowship with the Holy Spirit through prayer. He said, "I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all" (1 Corinthians 14:18). If Paul realized it was necessary for him to speak in tongues so much that he could say he spoke with tongues more than the whole Corinthian church, then you must recognize its importance. Speak in tongues every day and every so often, and build a sturdy relationship with the Holy Spirit.

    PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit; I recognize His presence in my life and yield fully to His leading. As I fellowship with Him, my spirit is built strong, and I'm empowered to live victoriously, every day, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
    That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Basic things actually are not unimportant or peripheral things. No, they are not. So, always take note of them.

Anytime you make mention or make use of the word ‘basic’, the first thing that crosses many people’s mind is something so irrelevant and minor, but actually it's the contrary.

There's a bible verse that states, ‘despise not the days of thy beginning’. That verse seems to encapsulate the idea I want to pass across, but not completely, which is why I will refer you to another bible verse that states, ‘if the foundation can be destroyed, what can the righteous do?’

Now, this is it. Basic things are the foundational things. They are like the foundational pillars of a house, which makes a house strong enough to carry larger burdens or weighty things on it. And that means, whenever you see an edifice or storeyed building, you should realize henceforth, that the most important part of the building isn't the number of floors, or the beauty, but the foundation.

The foundation is where the main work lies and it's what is carrying all other things built on it. Once it defaults, the building, no matter how beautiful it may be, will crash immediately. Therefore, whenever you are being introduced to or taught the basic things of anything, don't despise it.

In fact, don't rush it through it, rather patiently learn it and derive lessons from it, because it's that basic knowledge that will make you stand strong later on to acquire and implement secondary knowledge.

In other words, if you don't learn about or acquire that basic knowledge, it will be very difficult to implement or even acquire secondary knowledge. As a matter of fact, if you try to bypass the basic things for the secondary things, you will end up so confused and frustrated.

    And you know what? Everything has its basic or foundational stage. Which means, content writing is not an exception. The basics of content writing cover topics like;

What content is, what writing is, and what content writing itself is.

Types of content, writing, and content writing.

Importance and purposes of creating content, importance writing and content writing.

    Punctuation marks, etc.

  • An “oyibo” friend gave me a live plant as a gift when I had my baby

She brought this stunning plant with purple flowers

She said the plant needed one ice cube once every week

I have been diligently putting the ice cube on the plant and it has been thriving well

Some days ago she called and said she was bringing something for the plant

She came with a bigger flower vase and some “orishirishi” ingredients

She transferred the plant and did her thing.

    Me I was just looking.

In my head, this plant was doing fine.

Turns out that even though the plant seemed to be doing great at the moment, if she did not do what she just did , sooner or later, the plant would die

I was just looking. Me that did not even know that some plants needed ice cube and not ordinarily water

I was observing as the Holyspirit began to teach me

Sometimes as Belivers, we go about doing the right thing we know we need to do

But then He reminded me of Apollos on the Bible who went about teaching with so much passion but knowing “ONLY” the baptism of John

    Was he right ??? Absolutely

But His knowledge was super limited.

Just like me and my plant. I was doing right thing but doing only what I knew.

You see people who love Jesus today, but you still see some aspects of their lives that shows they don’t know much

It takes Priscilla and Aquila to not just condemn and throw them away but to expand the word of God to them more

Teach them what they don’t know from the Bible

And if it’s you, like me and my plant too, allow that person that knows more to help you and show you what you don’t know

Be open to learn. Be teachable

Hope you are aware that you can be SINCERELY WRONG

    You can be PASSIONATELY DEVIATING

So learn, receive higher revelation when it comes .

So that your spiritual life doesn’t die in the long run

PS: The Holyspirit is the best teacher you can have
