  • This is a house in my town i live in that is "famous" for Halloween and Christmas decorations. People come from all over to see it. The owner has been doing this for as long as I can remember. Sadly the owner passed last yr while decorating but his son and awesome people in our town help decorate it to keep the tradition going (They were still in the process of decorating)

    The Witch's Lantern

Every Halloween, a ghostly green lantern appeared at the edge of a small village forest. Legend said it belonged to Elara, a witch who, years ago, had vowed revenge on those who disturbed her rest.

One Halloween, three friends—Simon, Lily, and Max—ignored the warnings and followed the lantern into the woods. It led them to a twisted tree and an eerie stone: Elara’s grave. Suddenly, the lantern’s light went out, and a shadowy figure emerged, whispering, “You dared to follow…”

As they tried to escape, vines trapped them, and Elara’s ghost approached. Remembering an old protection charm, Lily recited it, breaking the spell and freeing them. They ran back to the village, vowing never to follow the Witch’s Lantern again.

Since that night, no one else has dared to test the witch’s warning.

  • BOY SECRETLY HELPS POOR ELDERLY NEIGHBOR BY DECORATING HER HOUSE FOR HALLOWEEN, BUT IT TURNS OUT TO BE A BIG MISTAKE
Kevin's heart raced with excitement as Halloween approached. The eerie glow of his neighbors' decorations lit up the street, and he couldn't wait to explore every spooky display. But one house stood out for all the wrong reasons—Mrs. Kimbly's. Her home was bare, not a single cobweb or pumpkin in sight, and that made Kevin uneasy.
Determined to help, he knocked on her door, ready to offer his services for free. But Mrs. Kimbly, frail and with a wild glint in her eye, shrieked, "NO! I don't need any decorations! Now, go away!"
Kevin wasn't convinced. He knew the pranksters in the neighborhood would target her unadorned house, turning it into a mess of toilet paper and trouble. Convinced she was too proud to ask for help, he made a bold decision—he would decorate her house secretly.
Late into the evening, Kevin worked in the shadows, transforming Mrs. Kimbly's yard into a Halloween spectacle. Just as he finished the last touch, a scream shattered the silence behind him See less

  • , no — no one really tells you.

Then one day you’ll board a flight to Portland. Let’s make it Halloween weekend, to turn up the narrative tension. And let’s say, you’re hoping to connect with friends, but planning to stay alone.

Weeks earlier, your body will trigger a soft alarm — Alone in Portland for 5 days…Rain, Sad, Isolation, No Good!! — and you’ll pay attention to it, because alarms like this are unusual (you love traveling alone, and your body is giving no such indicators about a similar week-long stretch in Seattle). But your mind can’t see any cause for the red lights, so you pull the trigger. And for the first 12 hours in town, you’re fine.
