OSUN NSCDC BOSS RECEIVES NEW IMMIGRATION COMPTROLLER.

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command, CC Igbalawole Sotiyo received in audience the new Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Osun State Command, CIS Olufunke Odusote.

While stating the purpose of her visit, Comptroller Odusote, emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration, noting that "both organizations belong to the same family under the Ministry of Interior, and it's imperative to work together.

FORMER GOVERNOR UDOM EMMANUEL MOURNS LOSS OF HIS UNCLE

The immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. UDOM Emmanuel, has expressed his deep sadness over the passing of his uncle, Elder Edo Jonathan Ekim.

In a statement, Mr. Udom Emmanuel described his uncle's death as "painful" but noted that he was consoled by the fact that his uncle lived long enough to witness the accomplishments of his children, particularly Ini Edo, a renowned Nollywood actress.

Elder Edo Jonathan Ekim, who passed away at the age of 86, was a respected community leader and a devoted family man. The funeral ceremony, which was held at the QIC Primary School in Awa Iman, ONNA Local Government Area, was attended by dignitaries from across the state, including The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno PhD represented by his deputy Senator (Dr) Akon Eyakenyi, traditional rulers, and celebrities.

Mr. Udom Emmanuel's tribute to his late uncle highlights the close relationship they shared and the pride he feels in the accomplishments of his family members.

The former governor's condolences have been echoed by many others who have taken to social media to pay their respects to the late Elder Edo Jonathan Ekim.
