In 2019, Burna Boy released African Giant and was nominated for a Grammy Award he lost to Angelique Kidjo.

In 2021, he finally won a Grammy with Twice as Tall.

Most pure music fans, writers and analysts will tell you that it was African Giant that really deserved the Grammy without taking away the genius of Twice as Tall. African Giant was a complete body of work. It is still my favorite Burna Boy album till date.

Burna Boy’s Grammy Award has now been watered down to P Diddy’s involvement in the album which is very ridiculous. I can mention 10 former Diddy artists that never won a Grammy.

Diddy’s several allegations of sexual misconduct have now been used to water down Burna Boy’s Grammy win. It is obscene. Two separate incidents. Whatever relationship Diddy had with Burna Boy cannot guarantee him a Grammy.

Notorious B.I.G or Biggie who is one of the most influential voices in Hip Hop was signed to Diddy and never won a Grammy before he died.

Black Rob. Carl Thomas. French Montana and so many other Diddy Artists did not win Grammys.

To reduce Burna Boy’s Grammy Award to a sexual relationship with Diddy is very ridiculous. Cassie dated Diddy for more than 11 years, she no see Grammy nomination sef.

I don’t care who you are supporting in this fight. But Burna Boy earned that Grammy award for his talent not whatever insinuations you have
