  • How To Make Peanut

    Ingredients:

    3 cups raw peanuts (groundnuts)
    3 eggs
    3 cups flour
    2 or 3 tablespoons sugar
    Pinch of salt
    2 cups vegetable oil

    Instructions:

You can use already roasted groundnuts (peanuts). But if you have raw peanuts, you can roast or fry them yourself.

For extra flavor, I start the frying process by first soaking the peanuts in hot water for 15 minutes, then I drain and dry the peanuts for 1 hour. Next, I pour in a nice layer of table salt in a pan and then I fry (roast) the peanuts in the salt until they are brown. Sieve out the peanuts in a tray and leave them to cool.

Break the eggs into a bowl and add the salt and sugar. Whisk together.

In a bigger bowl, pour in the roasted peanuts. Pour in 1 tablespoon of the whisked egg and toss the peanuts. Next, pour in 1 tablespoon of flour and toss.

Repeat the process until both the flour and the eggs are exhausted. This will give you finely coated peanuts.

Heat the oil in a pan and fry the coated peanuts until they are nice and brown.

Your yummy peanut burger is ready.

    *Note:*
For extra flavor, you can add a drop of vanilla to the egg mixture.
You can also add 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg and 1 teaspoon of powdered milk to the flour and mix

  • 2️⃣ A *final round of talks on a treaty to curb plastic pollution has opened in South Korea*, with deep differences between nations emerging almost immediately.

The meeting *opened just hours after a chaotic end to the COP29 climate talks in Baku*, which agreed to a boost in climate funding that developing countries slammed as insufficient.

Opening the plastics meeting in Busan, the *Ecuadorian diplomat chairing the talks warned nations* that the conference was about "far more than drafting an international treaty".

*Plastic pollution is so ubiquitous that it has been found in clouds,* the deepest ocean trenches and even human breastmilk.

And while *almost everyone agrees it is a problem*, there is *less consensus on how to solve it.*

  • 3️⃣ *Brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez are set to face a judge on Monday* as the campaign to free them from their life sentences for the *shotgun murders of their parents* gathers pace.

The *pair have been in prison since a blockbuster trial in 1993* that drew television audiences of millions in the US, *captivated by the details of the slayings* of Jose and Kitty Menendez at the family's luxury Beverly Hills mansion.

*Prosecutors painted it as a cold-hearted bid by the men* -- Lyle was 21 and Erik was 18 at the time -- to *get their hands on their parents' $14 million fortune.*

But their *attorneys described the 1989 killings as an act of desperate self-defense by young men* subjected to years of sexual abuse and psychological violence at the hands of an abusive father and a complicit mother.

The *case saw a surge of renewed interest this year* with the release of the Netflix hit *_"Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story."_*
